Braeburn1020 Thermostat, Non-Programmable, 1H/1C

I had to replace a Braeburn 5000 that would not maintain its set point temperature. The conversion over to the Braeburn 1020 was very easy, the cool and heat functions tested well and we couldn't be more pleased. We really had no use for all the programmable features the model 5000 had and love the simplicity of the model 1020.

When my old thermostat died due to batteries leaking out I decided to fix it myself. This thermostat is a bargain. The setup is simple and works great.

I like the .5 degree setting . it works better than others I have tried. Still looking for a thermostat to suit my needs with oil cast iron baseboard heat. By the time the baseboards radiate heat the furnace has run longer than it needs too then the temp will raise 2 degrees 10 minutes later. I want one that will run the furnance for 15 - 20 mins then wait 10 mins before it senses the temp. Oh well

This Braeburn 1020 was purchased to replace a Honeywell T4 Pro that was installed by a contractor with my furnace replacement. The T4 Pro is loaded with bells and whistles with small numbers on a small display. Nothing wrong with the T4, it was just overkill for me and difficult to read.This Braeburn 1020 is perfect for my requirements. My system is heat only, no AC. I don’t need or want a timer to turn the heat on/off at a specified time or day (I’m retired). My furnace is efficient and will heat my condo in about five minutes when it is turned on. If the night is very cold, I just set the thermostat at bedtime and adjust in the morning if necessary.The numbers on the Braeburn display are relatively large at one inch for the current temperature, about 3/8 inch for the temp set number and about 1/4 inch for the AC/OFF/HEAT indicator. The is great for senior eyes or anyone with not so perfect vision. The included instructions have all of the details and can also be downloaded from Braeburn’s website.

First time thermoset installer here. BRAEBURN has a great technical hotline and Tony and Nathan were very helpful when I needed them!

Works fine, but does not have a hinged cover as some reviews said it did.

These are pretty good thermostats but I can't understand how they can call them tamper proof when all you have to do is stick a toothpick in the little hole in the front,which you can plainly see in the pic, and it will bypass the setting that you put in.
