RAM Mounts Quick-Grip XL Phone Holder with Ball RAM-HOL-PD4-238AU with B Size 1" Ball

I love this thing. I'm an avid off-roader and needed something to hold the phone steady while driving over obstacle's so I can use it for navigation, tire pressure monitoring, etc. I had been using the ram-mount X-grip, but the phone turns side to side freely in that device (not sure what good it is). Their solution to this movement is to attach a rubber stabilizer to each corner, which is terribly inconvenient. So when I saw this phone holder I gave it a try. Not only is it cheaper, it's better than that "X" thing I've been frustrated with for years.It's easy to put this together with just a Phillips screwdriver and it attaches easily to the 1" ball the X was attached to. Putting the phone in and and taking it out is easy and the phone is absolutely secure when in place. I bought the large size and my 16 pro max fits fine. There is a choice of 6 locations for the 4 side pins depending on where the side buttons are. I used the bottom 4 of 6.Again, I'm totally satisfied with this and highly recommend it for anyone who needs a secure phone holder. Probably works well on a motorcycle or mountain bike, too.

Very easy to mount, very sturdy. Very solid and secure.The mount came very fast. The supplier was one of the fastest I’ve seen . Came with the ball mount for the back, didn’t have to buy anything else. I highly recommend the mount.

This was a last minute order and I'm glad I ordered it. Ram products have such a versatile use to them I would not hesitate to order something else either. And for the cost you can't beat it with a stick. I have use other phone holders in the past and some of them work but not near as good as RAM products. I used this in my otr truck and was not disappointed, very stable. Buy it if you haven't already.

I purchased this to replace the X-grip with tether that covered up the buttons on the side of my phone. The side grips on this device have alternate positions so you can avoid the phone buttons when putting it together. Without the tether my phone mounts more quickly than with the X-grip. My phone, in its case, seems quite secure when mounted.The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is that the sealed package was missing the #8 nuts and I had to purchase them at the hardware store. I did not contact customer service because I wanted to use the mount on a trip the day after receiving it.

Very sturdy construction. Holds your phone securely and is easy to use one-handed.Some assembly is required and you will need a small Phillips head screwdriver and a little common sense. Lay out a kitchen towel in your work space so the little screws and nuts don’t bounce out of reach when you drop them.Assemble before your 3rd cocktail.

Needed something bigger for my iPhone 16.....older one kept messing with the buttons and shutting my phone off......this one is perfect and adjustable! This one fits the bill!
