My second one, that says volumes itself i like it enough to purchase again, the first lasted 4 years of daily use, that is outstanding. Good sound quality, tough build, HEAVY... that goes hand in hand with decent batteries in my experience. Like most, the battery life diminishes exponentially with volume level. It lasts TWICE as long as most BT speakers i have bought.

This is a no brainer: louder and better sound than JBL Flip 5 and 6s (which I have a number of)—and at just over 1/2 the price. I could max out the volume on my JBLs in the kitchen or home gym and they would not be too loud. The W-King gets too loud for me at just over 1/2 way to its max. The sound is crisper and punchier than JBL Flips. One should have realistic expectations about bass from any 7-inch long speaker, however. This one is no different than others and is fine for its size.

Got this and the D9 as well. Was thinking of keeping both and using the D8 as a stereo pair after testing the 1st unit. Got the D9 in the mail first and have been rockin it constantly til the D8 arrived. TOok it out of the box, paired it and put it back in the box with in 5 minutes. Not because it was bad but because it just wasn't as GOOD as the D9. Yes 30, watts vs 60 watts is not fair but the sound quality of the D9 out shined the D8 in a big way for me. Can't comment on battery life or water resistance. I really like the W-King products and would recommend them. I am looking at other 30 watt wireless speakers to make a stereo pair with. At $50 a piece I have seem better deals for (2) around $70. One is triangular and the other is cylindrical. I am leaning toward the cylindrical ones at the moment but the D8 might fair better with placement when using as they are square so they will sit better then a round one. BTW, I also got the iHome iBT372BG. It was $70. Sure it has the cool LED light but the sound quality was not good for me. I really like the compact case and it can go anywhere but it just doesn't carry enough bass and I don't like the EQ curve. This all started with the iHome IBT371BGC. This little speaker sounds amazing for its size and has great bass response and I highly recommend it if you can find it for a good price. It's going for $60. Why did I start searching for something since this is SO GOOD? The two faults with the IBT371BGC are it's not a summed mono signal (meaning some instruments are missing during playback) and it's just not loud enough for me. Sound quality it excellent though. Hope this helps. If you come across this review just get the D9. No it's not a JBL but for the price you can not beat the power and the fidelity for under $100! Plus, it has a 1200 charging capability and has a Mini SD slot as well.

Bought this to keep in my truck for when we are at the mountians or lake. Have a 100 watt I use at home. Wanted A smaller one. Sounds great for price range. Just as good as my larger one. I think it is much better than the smaller ones and just A few dollars more.

Many months now... use this speaker every day... works great in my office ! Obviously can not attest to longevity but this replaced my Anker unit (that lasted only 5 years before it started to buzz heavily).

First the pros: ¤ It sounds very good, much better than anticipated. ¤ It has some important features. Now the cons: ¤ It seriously needs independent controls for song selection and volume. Along with this, there's no way to know when you press it whether you're getting a volume change or a song change. Double-click? Hold it down? How about separate controls instead? It has several (good) input modes, how about a way to select one? ¤ There is no readout at all. So you never know which song is selected, the current volume, battery life, or anything. Or even if it's on (unless you get it in the dark and lean over it to find that tiny, dim LED on the power button)! Everything about what's going on with it is a mystery. ¤ The (waterproof?) rear jack cover is too small and close to the USB jack. You have to fold it hard over to get enough room to plug in a flashdrive. This cover can't last long made like this. ¤ USB flashdrives stick straight out the back, just asking to get broken off. The USB needs to be oriented much differently to provide protection.

I bought this speaker after watching some YouTube reviews on best bluetooth speakers and am very happy with it. I drive a service van for work. With the metals shelves in the back rattling around and wi does down, its almost impossible to hear the radio in the van. Plus all the commercials...so I ordered this speaker to listen to spotify. It's as loud as car stereo turned up just before the point of distortion. Its loud enough where an hour of it next you you could be a headache. You would have to shout to a passenger over this speaker. If it had an equalizer it would be perfect. The sound quality is excellent for any bluetooth speaker its size. The bass compliments the song. No it doesn't shake coins in the cupholder. If you want a party speaker I would buy the big brother to this one. Bigger one is 60w and has 3 EQ settings. This 30w is the perfect "companion " speaker. Comes with modern Android style charger cable!

Speaker makes a popping noise on multiple devices and also through the 3.5mm cable. Faulty product.

After 1 year of use I broked it. The speaker is making buzzing noise while the music playing ✌🏻

Definitely nothing bad to say about the w king products. Easy to pair, easy to use, sounds great and I think that’s all that matters. If you are looking for room shaking sound buy a big wattage unit, if you need a near indestructible personal speaker that is decently loud, well here is your speaker. I use it underground at a potash mine and it has not given me any troubles.
