CitizenWomen's Eco-Drive Dress Classic Crystal Watch in Stainless Steel, Mother of Pearl Dial, 32mm (Model: FD1030-56Y)

After magnetizing my automatic watch with my iPad’s smart cover and it started loosing 3 minutes an hour, started looking for a solar watch. Yes, I can demagnitize the mechanical watch but I will just keep magnetizing it and I would rather have the time be accurate vs resetting it every hour. It was a case of the watch or the iPad. Since, let’s face it, I spend way to much time with my iPad, the automatic watch lost. (Update, after reading the manual all the way, this one has to kept away from magnets, too. I am now removing my smart cover when I holding the iPad, sigh)I looked for a solar watch that was...all one color on the band since the super pretty rose golds and golds wear away and scratch off. Stainless steel In it’s natural color wlll look better longer. I needed luminescent hands and numbers so I can tell the time in the middle of the night when I wake up. I like to see how much more time I have before I’ll have to get up. I wanted the numbers to glow so I can tell between 4:30 and 5:30 as it can be hard to tell without being able to see 12 or 6 on the face. I needed solar because I am done with getting charged way too much money to get a battery changed, hence the automatic watch. I love mother of pearl.So I seached ALL the watches on Amazon and picked this one. I’ve never had one that shows the day of the week before. I also thought the day of the month was a different kind of view. I put this puppy in my cart and bought it. Upon arrival I was delighted by the round box that it came in. When I opened it all I could say was “WOW, THIS THING IS GORGEOUS!” It was running in the box and the day of the week was set.I removed five links from the band and then read the manual on how to adjust the days of the week and the day of the month. It’s a little time consuming and it will take a try of two but you’ll be able to figure it out. Pull out the stem when the 2nd hand hits the 12. Pull the pin out as far as it will go. Follow the instructions and don’t give up :)I’ve posted pictures from several different angles to try and capture the face. It has a grey caste in shade that looks nice. The hands are very bright in the dark and show up well in slightly dim light. The indices and second hand do not light up...sigh...I shall live without that feature also. Be warned it is not water proof. No submerging or holding it under running water. But, again it’s sheer beauty carries the day.Now I’m waiting for Monday to arrive so I can show everyone at work my new “on-time” watch. That I have to keep away from water and magnets, LOL. It’s soooo pretty and shiny, I love it anyway!

I've had this watch for a very long time, and I wear it every single day. The face is still in great shape with all the original crystals. The eco-drive still works perfectly. I'm HARD on jewelry but this watch has very few blemishes. There are a few scratches here and there, but that's to be expected after 5 years of continuous wear. The pictures are from August 2024, and I purchased it in July 2019. If you're looking for a sturdy, practical, pretty watch, this is a fantastic option!

Fantastic, looks great on her wrist. Better than pictures or videos - A husband's review. We weren't sure of how it would look, took a chance. To our surprise it looked great.Very useful and elegant since we have silver wedding bands. The day and npmonth number is most useful. Even with a farmers tan, silver watch band lightens up.We bought an Eco since we had an earlier model from 7 years ago and still ticking. As a former lap swimmer the lighter female watches work best. Weight matters in lap swimming, a dive watch doesn't cut it, though great for scuba diving.The watch is so elegant and practical we share with our dentist. He spend $50 on his watches and has settle for buying one every year. We strongly recommended to get an ECO male's watch and enjoy the great look and investment.

I’m older, so reading the small dials are difficult, but this is a GORGEOUS WATCH! I love the Eco Drive and not having to replace a battery. It is well made! I would love to receive this as a gift… but was happy to buy this for myself. I have a previous eco drive that just didn’t survive being in storage for 5+ years. This was a prefect replacement!

My husband got this for me for our 6 year anniversary, he knew I was struggling being able to see with my smaller watch. I don't like the smart watches. This shows everything I need for my appointment, easy to read, and very beautiful. I love it!!

I purchased this for my wife for our anniversary. Another excellent Citizen product. The mother of pearl dial has a pink cast to it, and is very attractive. The sub-dials are easy to read, and the Swarovski crystals are well done. A dressy watch that she no wears every day, and can be worn with every outfit. The dial is not too small, and is easy to read. The lume on the watch is also well done, which was a surprise for my wife (just the hands, but the glow nicely in the Citizen electric blue lume).

It's a beautiful watch, easy to obtain a full charge, but difficult to set dates and days.

I have owned 2 Citizen watches in the past but, this is my first Eco-drive, so I am excited about not buying batteries again. I have also not had a watch that tells you the day and date so I find that is exciting as well. This watch is a lttle flashy without being too blingy. I can wear it when dressed up or down. It is a little big for me but I am a small person (5'2") with small wrists. I really like the "light" pink mother of pearl face although it doesnt look nearly as pink as the pictures make it to be. I also like that the hour and minute hands glow in the dark. BE ADVISED - however, I bought this watch because Amazon stated it as being water resistant to 100 meters. After receiving the watch, and looking at the manual, I was disappointed to find out the water resistance is really only 30 meters. To be sure I even double checked Citizens website to find out it is definately only good to 30 meters!! I have decided to keep the watch however as I think its good looks outweigh that one discrepency.
