Get them flies and mosquitoes
This bug zapper works pretty good. I like that it had extra light bulbs to use once the lights it has for ineffective. It's small and compact and fits almost anywhere.

great product
This thing is great! Flies are really bad where I live right now and I hate hanging those nasty fly strips everywhere. It arrived on time and started working within minutes! It does make loud popping noises when the flies fly in. I have an anxious German Shepard and it did bother him at first but he got used to it. I got used to it too and it doesn't bother me anymore. There is a tray to catch the insects at the bottom. However, I d suggest putting down some kind of paper in front and/or in back of it if you are going to have it standing up. Sometimes the insects will end up flying out the front or back of it when they hit the light.

Works best in a darkened room
The power supply holds a bit of high voltage even with the switch off. I found this out when cleaning dead fly bodies off the grids. It is not enough to injure you but it stings a bit.

Works Great At Killing Mosquitos and Other Flying Insects
Bought this because I was getting bitten regularly inside the house by mosquitoes. Within 10 minutes of turning on the machine it zapped its first pest. It's been working like a charm ever since and I haven't gotten bitten since I've been using this regularly. The black light does attract flying insects so if put it in an area of your house where they can enter (ie: an ill fitting screen on a window) it will actually draw critters into your house. The pop when one touches the electrified area can be a little loud and startling but it is music to my ears. For the insects that get stuck to the electrified grate I've been cleaning them out with a compressed air canister. This is a great tool to have if you want to abate mosquitoes inside your home.

Do not buy
It works, if it works, had this 9 months & heard a loud clicking one night, went to investigate & the top bulb burnt out, spent an hour taking it apart, replaced the bulb with one of the replacement bulbs included, didn’t work, tried another one, then tried the good one in the bad spot, we figured out there was a small electrical burning on the top of the unit, I had smelled that electrical burning smell but couldn’t find it till we started taking it apart. We contacted Amazon they said we needed to contact the company, they say there’s a year warranty, we contacted them twice with no reply, thank you very much for your concern & a no reply, PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY OBVIOUSLY WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY.

When it works it works well
I love the bug light it works well but my first one only lasted a few months because it worked so well I ordered another one didn’t try to apply for warranty the second one seems to be working fine it did come in with the screens out of place looked like high impact damage from shipping and yes it’s loud because it’s powerful

We love this!
We bought this as a gift. We have had ours for over a year and it does a great job of attracting and killing random bugs, flies, and fruitflies that we tend to have in late summer and early fall. It's especially good at getting the elusive fly that I can never get with a fly swatter. We just keep it on in our kitchen and we know we got something when we hear the loud zap! Such a satisfying sound! Sometimes we hear it zap something when we didn't even know we had a bug. Works best at night when the light really does a good job at attracting insects.

If you have tried everything for pesky fruit flies, gnats, flies, this is the mega zapper
OMG we purchased the flying insect zappers (the look like mini tennis rackets) that are supposed to zap, stun, stop the population of gnats and fruit flies and nothing worked- We were infested after my daughter left her open banana on the counter and we went out of town. Came home to crazy amount of fruit flies/gnats I don't know if there is a difference but these insects never seem to die or leave. We used foggers, flying insect spray, homemade apple cider vinegar and soap, we googled, youtubed- but in the end this worked the best for us and our gnat problem. This is extremely loud and everytime it zapped a gnat/fruit fly it made sure you could hear a loud clap sound. I think it attracts them with the blue light and then stuns them and zaps them. I don't know we left it in our kitchen at night and all night we kept hearing the loud zapping sound. We woke up to a tray full of zapped fruit flies/gnats and after a few days of having the zapper on we were able to get rid of the gnats/fruit flies and we have it stored in the garage just in case.It is extremely loud but if you were at your wits end at how to get rid of the fruit flies before they multiply again- this actually worked for us.
