(Medium Brace L Chest Harness)

WalkaboutMy 52lb Queensland heeler mix had blown both her knees. She didn’t want to put weight on either leg since it was so painful. I used a wagon to get her around, lifting her in and out. Originally I purchased to double knee but she had knee surgery on the right rear leg mid-December so as it turns out I just needed a single brace for the left knee. The double knee was easily returned for a full refund and I purchased the single brace. The surgery made this a difficult time for her since she didn’t want to put any weight on the left leg so I immediately purchased the medium size Walkabout for her since it seems to be the only brace that is surgically friendly to the operated leg (the strap that holds brace on goes around the belly and not around the operated leg). The brace was promptly shipped to me (custom braces can take weeks to get) with great customer service follow up. Her measurements were at the top end of the medium size. At first it seem to fit so very tight but after her wearing it a few times I feel it’s a pretty good fit for a brace that is not custom made. It makes a world of difference for her! She actually walks on the left leg with the brace on! Post recovery calls for 3 ten minute walks a day and WITHOUT THIS BRACE IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. It allows her to walk comfortably as well as squat for her duties. I wish I would have bought this brace as soon as I found out my dog blew her right knee out, I believe it would have helped support the bad knee enough that she wouldn’t have overused the good knee on the other leg so much….to the point she blew it out too. Is it a perfect fit, maybe not but did it help my dog walk again, ABSOLUTELY. I highly recommend this lightly priced brace for any dog suffering from a bad knee.

I measured my dog, I ordered the one that his measurements called for and it is way too big, it fits goofy and did not come with instructions on the correct placement. was going to return it but then noticed the rules stated that it could not be returned if I used it. I tried it on my dog for about an hour, and it has been sitting in the box in my room now for the past couple of months. I wasted a large chuck of money.

Ordered xs my dog is 11 lbs, was way to big did my best to follow instructions on how to get the right size. Hard to put on right, tryed it anyway even though to big was hard for her to walk in, my dog had a dislocated knee cap and torn acl, the vet said not to use braces for this problem because it prevents the knee cap from gliding up and down when they are walking ect. And could cause more problems. The real braces for this problem is around $800, I just saved up to get the knee and acl fixed it was worth the cost to fix it right she is much better and she is 10, seller refunded me back my money no problems that way.

I think the reviews on size are accurate. Even after taking measurements we couldn’t quite get the right size. Large was too large, medium seems okay but a bit tight in places. We ended up with a medium size with a large harness and are taking it upon ourselves to make some fixes of our own to it and seeing some seams to get it snug but not tight in places where it’s still too loose.

These are quite well made but the effectiveness is very limited, also had to be modified for a custom fit. Without it it would not work at all

I ordered this for my Shepard mix hoping to give her some support while we waited for her surgery. Unfortunately I could not get it to fit her properly, but it seemed well made and I was able to return it without a problem.

We measured according to the products directions, yet they're a little large (loose) so dont provide as much assistance as desired. Probably order a little smaller and donate these ones.

Measured my dog exactly like they said, this is way too big in some parts, and just right in others! So it doesn’t do her any good and makes her walk like a zombie! too many different size Variances
