I bought this rain jacket in preparation for the upcoming El Nino storm ridden winter we were forewarned about in Southern California. I got to test it out this week during our first set of storms, and it performed beautifully. All my research has assured me of North Face's quality, although I haven't owned their products before. So first off, it fits me very well (I purchased size medium, and I'm 5'3" 130lbs) with room for a jacket underneath for warmth (without looking bulky!), and the feminine contoured cut sides is a huge bonus. I am not sure why I'm concerned about how my figure looks in a raincoat, but there ya go if it's important to you as well.It is a thin jacket, so if it's chilly at all in your area, be sure you order a size up so that you have room for a jacket underneath. Other features I like: zippered outside pockets, mesh interior (picture 2), cinch cords at the bottom and on the hood (pictures 3 and 4), you can store the hood in the collar if it is not needed, and the velcro flap that goes over the zipper to keep you totally waterproof (picture 5). The jacket is indeed waterproof, the drops of rain just bead off of it. I stayed completely dry and comfortable, and was very handy when walking the dog in the rain. I really like it, and recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight rain jacket!

I wore it today to work a 30 minute carline in the pouring rain. It was perfect. I couldn't carry an umbrella and get kids in cars and work the radios, so it was important that this keep me dry and be flexible enough for me to move freely. It was perfect. I was nice and dry when I got back inside, and it never felt like it was in the way. The only thing I wish it had was a place or a tag to write my name. It'll be hung up at school with other rain coats, and it's not easy to distinguish the black rain coat from 25 other jackets. A simple white tag would be helpful.

I got a size medium and it's a close fit, not too much room to wear sweaters underneath. I wore it in London during spring time and it was warm enough with just tshirt underneath. When the hood is rolled up, it makes the collar a bit bulky but manageable.

This North Face Rain Jacket fits well, is well constructed and is comfortable. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

It fit as expected, I live in south Florida where the weather is bipolar.I wanted a jacket that was light weight yet could withstand the typical downpour.I prefer a more fitted jacket.5'10 175 lbs

I love this jacket so much it is exactly what I wanted and I use it almost everyday, I am up in the NorthWest in Oregon so I definitely needed it.

Got this as a gift for my girlfriend. She wears a medium in other North Face apparel and this one fit true to the other sizes. Very effective windbreaker/ rain jacket.

Excellent lightweight jacket that keeps me dry. I'm able to add layers under it for additional warmth, too. The hood is large enough to fit over my head and all of my hair- a huge plus.

Taglia giusta, tenuta pioggia molto buona

Lovely wind and waterproof jacket. Not very warm though. Very much a lightweight coat but you could wear a thin down gilet or jacket underneath. Bought this for my daughter for geography trips so she can layer up as required. She likes the look of it too. Initially returned to size up. They are very small sizes.

Ich wollte eine ungefütterte Regenjacke die schwarz ist und mal schnell über einen Hoodie gezogen werden kann. Sie ist seit einem Jahr im Einsatz und wirkt wie neu. Reißverschlüsse auch intakt.Sie ist wind- und regendicht und atmungsaktiv durch Netzeinsätze und das Fleece am Hals ist auch total angenehm, pillt aber etwas.Sie sitzt bei Gr. M recht locker, mehrere Lagen drunter sind kein Problem (trage sonst eher Gr. S). Sie kann über Gummis reguliert werden. Die Jacke ist allerdings kaum tailliert und kastig geschnitten.Das Material ist einfach aber sehr robust, allerdings raschelt die Jacke sehr stark. Schöffel und Vaude bieten hier noch bessere Qualität vom Material.Alles in allem trotzdem gut, gut finde ich zudem die Herstellung in Kambodscha statt Bangladesch.

Come molti prodotti TNF è sicuramente molto efficace e robusto, di sostanza, ma ad un prezzo elevato rispetto alle caratteristiche di pregio, comodità ed estetica. Per chi cerca soprattutto affidabilità e robustezza, senza curarsi del resto, vale il prezzo. Altrimenti è un pò un inseguire il marchio di moda nella streetwear, sovrapagando un capo tecnico oltre il suo valore d'uso. Vale i soldi per chi vuole un guscio di sostanza e duraturo. Per me resta poco idoneo per il trekking tecnico e troppo poco tecnico per un uso urbano confortevole. Una via di mezzo griffata che soddisferà chi vuole esibire il logo, restare asciutto e non sudare troppo, senza troppe pretese.Veste giusto-comodo, taglio medio, regolabile in basso. Efficace contro vento e pioggia nei limiti di un acquazzone o due, ottimo per stagioni intermedie, con o senza felpa/pail sotto a seconda del clima.Consiglio solo a prezzi d'occasione, per pari importo altri marchi offrono prodotti altrettanto efficaci ma meno grezzi, forse anche meno robusti ma questo non è un capo realmente tecnico, più un guscio base griffato.

Die Jacke ist eine dünne, leichte Regenjacke die auch optimal zum mitnehmen geeignet ist, da sie nicht viel Platz in der Tasche wegnimmt.Wasserdicht ist sie auch, sie wurde erst letzte Woche bei strömendem Dauerregen im Großarltal getestet und für gut befunden ;-) Die Kapuze hat eine Art "Schirm" an der Vorderseite, sodass der Regen einem auch nicht ins Gesicht tropft. An den Seiten rechts und links kann man den Gummibund unten noch etwas verstellen, damit es von unten her nicht reinzieht.Allerdings finde ich die Jacke etwas groß/weit geschnitten. Trage sonst 36/38 und habe mir die Jacke in M bestellt. Sie fällt doch recht weit aus (Zwiebellook mit Top, T-Shirt, Pullover und Fleecejacke passt noch wunderbar darunter und es ist immernoch Platz) und die Ärmel könnten auch ein paar cm kürzer sein, aber sie ist bequem, erfüllt ihren Zweck und ich habe dringend eine gebraucht, deswegen habe ich sie auch behalten.
