I have 3 units in our home. One is in the kitchen, 1 at the bar and 1 in the guest house and they work amazing. I have to replace the kitchen filters more frequently, due to the higher use. We have one at our anohter home and 1 at the office. I refill 5 gallon water jugs for a dispenser once a week, plus all the RO water we want. The filters are a 1 year replacement or 900 gallons, so you have to replace them just like any other filter. The filters are pricey, that is my only beef, but worth having the best drinking water out there. Everyone says the same thing when they try our water, "This is the best water!"

Quit working after 4 months
Received on Feb 14, 2018. It quit working in April. I brought new filters, it worked for a month. Amazon only has a30 day return policy on this item;I guess I'll have to throw it away.

Understandably no longer available
I bought this because it's what a neighbor had, and it worked fine for two years. Although its lengthy refill cycle was annoyingly noisy -- not loud, just annoying -- I considered it a satisfactory product, and would have rated it 4 stars. Now it won't stop leaking (goodbye, countertop! So long, floor!), so I won't be buying any more refill cartridges. Since the tubes are only pressure-inserted, there's nothing to tighten; all I can do is push it in as hard as possible & hope it stops. It doesn't; it just goes on dripping. I can hear it dripping now, into a basin that I'm starting to think will overflow if left unattended overnight, so the drip is increasing.Of course, I can't just throw this away & be done with it; I'll have to shut off all the water & completely dismantle it from the plumbing. I hadn't planned on remodeling the entire sink assembly again, but it looks like I'll be making almost that much effort just to get rid of this thing. My review won't actually help anyone, since you can't buy this from the manufacturer anymore. GE got their money; I got a filtration system that worked for a while, and Amazon got their 15%. Welcome to the 21st century.

Best filter system.
I have had this GE system in my home for over 4 years now, paid double in BigBox store at that time. I couldn't be more pleased with the taste of the water, the rate of the flow of the water, the ease of changing filters, ease of installation, etc. I don't have any cons to write about. I'm actually just bought another one right now for my summer house.

Works great if you follow the instructions
I installed it in my new home and it's been working for 2 years now. I see people complain about leaks, however I have had none so far. Make sure you set it up according to the instructions and if you have a dishwasher or garbage disposal make sure you connect for this. My only complaint is it's around $120 dollars to replace the filters. If you use it for cooking, coffee etc it's worth it. If not you may want to look at a different type. For my family, it's worth the money in saved bottled drinking water. Our local water has a bad odor.
