No problem. You can write on it.

Will this tape diffuse LED lighting?

I very much doubt it as the three rolls I received had such poor adhesion that the tape would not stay put.

What is the thickness of this tape in mil?

not sure of the correct measurement but it was as thick as electrical tape, it was thicker than scotch tape, but didnt stick too well though
