Works perfectly!
Second edit: I contacted the company about the problem and they were going to immediately send me a new one and I was supposed to get it by a certain date. Days and it was never sent out. Then they were going to overnight it. I didnโt get it overnight. I got it, three days later than what they promised.. I installed the new one today. It worked on one TV with a picture, but I didnโt even bother with a second TV to see if I got a picture because the sound didnโt work, I called them again today.. The one that I received today wasnโt the same as the one that I was trying to replace it was from a sister company. They are going to try to replace it, but Iโm not sure which one if Iโm getting from Service or the sister company which had a plug that was too big for my power strip, and I really had to waste plug space because of it. They canโt overnight it The second replacement Iโm not really very happy with his company. Theyโre going to send it by ground.Edit. I purchased this May 17, 2024 and today is August 4, 2024 and it died today. Iโm very unhappy. I hope it has a warranty longer than 2 1/2 months, And I hope it can be replaced quickly.I purchased another highly rated unit. It didnโt work at all and their customer service was nonexistent. This unit worked perfectly. It was easy to set up. I have a TV and cable box in my living room, and my bedroom shares the same wall, it just seemed crazy to pay for another Cable box. I bought a long HDMI cable and put the splitter in.. I bought a splitter along time ago, that eventually died, so I could watch TV in my bedroom. I can change the channel with the remote app in my phone. If I want to watch TV in the bedroom while Iโm working around the house as well as in the living room, I can do that. I also can watch TV in bed and have the TV in the living room turned off. Itโs great and works perfectly!

Finally found the adapter I've been looking for
I finally found an adapter that can actually do what I need ir to do!I own 4 hdmi splitter that take the hdmi signal and split it to 2 identical signals and they all work. That is fine if you have matching produ cts such as tvs, receivers, monitors etc. that are both 4k or 1080p.The problem arises though if 1 is 4k and the other is not as the splitter will only output whatever resolution is the lowest. It means that if you have a 4k tv but your receiver or other tv is 1080p both will only get 1080p.This unit fixes that issue. When you hit the switch it somehow blocks whatever it is you are using to split the signal from seeing the mismatched signal and it will allow both a 4k signal and a 1080p signal out at the same time.A couple examples of why this could be great is if you have a 4k tv but an older surround sound receiver that cant do 4k. It will send your tv the 4k and the receiver a 1080p signal so you can still get sound through the hdmi and watch the tv in 4k.Another example is Iown a switch oled (outputs 1080p) but just got a nintendo switch 2 that can output 4k. I could only send a 1080p signal to the tv and receiver with my other splitters but now I get 4k video and the pcm surround sound works also. The switch and switch 2 only output PCM (LPCM) 5.1 surround out of their hdmi which optical cables cant carry. To get surround sound, you must use an hdmi converter or, if available enable "pass-through" mode on your tv. Unfortunately most tvs cant do it so even though you select 5.1 surround out of your switch your tv will convert it to stereo.None of my other splitters would allow my switches to output the surround sound and could only get stereo.Another issue issue that you might have is if you have a 4k bluray player that doesn't have both an hdmi video out and hdmi audio out.If your tv is 4k but your receiver is not, you are stuck sending the tvs optical signal out to your receiver and it will likely not be the best audio like you would get from connecting the bluray player directly to your receiver because the optical doesn't support that audio. You could connect the 4k bluray player to your 1080p receiver for the best sound but the hdmi signal out to your tv would only be 1080p.Anyways, this adapter fixed everything. The only thing to be aware of is I think it said it will only convert to 1080p and not below that such as 720p or 480p so pay attention to that in case for instance you wanted to connect to a 4k and 720p tv as it won't work.I would purchase this adapter over a regular splitter now no matter what so you dont have to be concerned about mismatching issues even though you might not need it for mismatched stuff just in case you do at some point.Ordered a second one for another setup I have with the same 4k tv but 1080p receiver so I can move the switch 2 easily to that setup if I want.Probably going to get a third one once I make enough Amazon points to get it for "free" since I help others with their equipment too.It is very rare for me to write a product review but I've been trying to find an adapter that could do what this does without paying a fortune or buying new expensive equipment for years.I really hope this helps others!

No HDR10+ support, but otherwise good
Iโm using this to downscale my AppleTV output for an older Marantz pre-pro. HDR10 works great and looks great. But my JVC RS1200 supports HDR10+, and Iโm not seeing that option any more on my AppleTV. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of.Update: every time I turn off my projector and AVR, my AppleTV loses its memory of the video settings, and I have to re-enable HDR. So for now, I guess Iโll just stick with SDR until I can buy something that doesnโt confuse the AppleTV. Iโm still happy with what this does, for the price.

Did not handle my mixed TV setup well
Wanted to share Roku with high end OLED 4k TV and 1080p TV to show same output. It would handle the video resolution OK, but many extra features for the OLED would not carry through from the Roku. So new TV was getting limited. Actually tried about 4 different devices in this price range and none of them could handle what I wanted. So I returned all of them. Instead I just used an older unused Roku for the 1080p TV. Turns out it was not that important to have BOTH TVS showing the exact same output.

Good quality
Been months now and so far so good, seems like a lot better quality than the other splitters. It actually detects TV is turned on and relays to cox box to turn it on. And have just left it connected and going whereas another brand I had to keep unplugging and replugging it.

Great product
Great product, using it to connect a Roku to a 4k projector and an older Pioneer receiver. Getting 4k HDR10 on projector through the splitter, great solution . Saved me hundreds of $, donโt have to get a new 4k capable receiver .
