I received this grab bar quickly and was delivered without issues with the package or the item. I actually bought this grab bar to use in our up stair's bathroom and after removing it from the package I was a bit surprised with the size; not length but the width. The grab bar looks smaller than the pictures described and illustrated. I do like the design, the styling, and the stainless steel finish. The length was adequate at 12 inches, but not the width; I found it to be too lightweight for the intended purpose. I decided to install it and test it, but I had to use similar screws from my garage just in case I needed to return it. It was not too sturdy for very heavy and overweight people. It may work well for average sized individuals but not suitable for my visitors. I would need to return this grab bar and order a larger and more sturdy one.

Original part came missing installations items but vendor quickly came through on replacement with another new item immediately. Bar is to be fastened to wall, comes with smallish screws/anchors. I installed with 3" screws driven through tile (ceramic/carbide bit needed or concrete) and into studs. I wouldn't put much weight onto the anchors; with the long screws anchored in studs it's just fine now.

Product arrived on time and was easy to install. I used longer screws to provide additional strength. The upgrade to this product was not worth the additional cost. The 'non-slip grip' is purely cosmetic with the finish being buffed rather than high gloss. The picture suggest that the surface is cut or engraved, but this is not the case. Overall I recommend this item, and the price differential is really insignificant.

When I first opened this grab bar, it looked rather cheap. Boy, I was wrong. My son, the carpenter, installed it in a matter of minutes. He had to use different screws because the ones that come with the grab bar were too short. The bar is perfect. I am 70 and need something to grab hold of getting out of the shower. Unfortunately, this apartment has a tub instead of a walk-in shower. but now I don't have to worry. The grab bar is secure and sturdy. Great product.

Perfectly happy with the handle. It make getting in and out of the shower much safer. They are fairly light gauge metal, but very sturdy once installed. I am 200lbs and they support me just fine. I put one on each side of the tub. If you have any skills, should be a very easy install.

The three holes should have been closer together so they ALL could be screwed into a 1-1/2" stud. I positioned the holes so two are in the stud and the other just in the drywall. As far as the non-slip, I expected some kind of coating but there isn't any. Nevertheless, it serves it's purpose.

If you're considering buying this grab bar because you like the idea of having a central area of the grab bar that is less slick than the chrome at either end, don't bother. I don't know how they manufactured this to look so deceiving, but although the central area of this grab bar looks like a different texture, it doesn't feel any different in reality.
