No. Black strap molasses has a slightly bitter taste, would not be good in baking unless for some odd reason. Google uses for black strap molasses.

No it does not require refrigeration after opening.

Q: Does this product contain cane juice or preservatives?

The only ingredient mentioned is molasses ( which has 15gm of sugar per 1tbsp serving). Molasses can be produced from either sugar cane or sugar beets, but there is no indication on the label as to which it is derived from. There are no added preservatives. Molasses is what gives brown sugar its distinctive characteristics, and is rich in antioxidants and other minerals and vitamins. Refiners remove molasses to create white sugar.

The product I received was regular grandmas unsulphured molasses. There was no USDA organic or certified organic label.
