VERY comforting for arthritis inflammation
I can't say enough praise for these gloves! They live in the freezer, available to cool inflammation when the arthritis in my hands is acting up. The gel liners fit snugly into the top and bottom layers of the soft gloves, and my hands fit snugly in between. They stay cold for a very long time, up to an hour or more, and they also work great as small ice packs for anywhere you might want one. I haven't used them in warming mode yet b/c I just enjoy the cold so much, but I would expect them to be just as comforting warm as they are when cold. High recommendations and thank you for an excellent product!!!

Good product
These are great ! Your hands are protected by a soft material. Large enough for a man as well. Good product.

Ice sits directly on skin (good or bad)
These are nice and cold BUT your hand slides between two full sized ice packs. I put a bandana around my hand then slid my hand in. From what I understand, that much direct ice isn’t good. Not sure but other than that these stay nice and cold for the price. Just wanted to call this out In case some can’t tolerate that initial cold. I bet a cheap dollar store winter glove would be a great option to wear between the gel packs. :)

Great for arthritis
I have arthritis in my fingers and the joints can burn and cause pain. I find that putting on these mittens relieves the pain and stops it from coming back for a few days. The cooling inserts must be placed into the pockets under the fold of the mittens. As other reviewers have said, it's easier to do this before freezing. I find that just using one at a time works for me, switching the mitten from hand to hand when one gets too cold. I keep the mittens stored flat in a plastic bag in the freezer to use whenever I need them.

Worth the money.
This is an update to a review I came earlier. I had a compound fracture to my right wrist and shattered my elbow so I had an exterior fixator attached to my wrist, arm and elbow for almost 12 weeks. OT/PT therapist suggested a paraffin wax bath to facilitate healing and regaining range of motion. Unfortunately that was very messy and extensive injuries made skin super sensitive even at very low temperatures. The mitts have been very easy and convenient to use. I chose to put the gel packs into the mitts before I put it either in the freezer or the microwave. The instructions on the website said for a 1000 W microwave to heat 13 seconds. That did nothing. I put it on a microwave safe place and put it in for 30 seconds on high. Then turn it over and heat it for another 30 seconds on high and it is very warm and comfortable for at least 20 minutes. To use for cold I also put the gel packs in the mitts and then placed in the freezer for about 30 minutes so gel was still pliable but cold enough to be soothing. This was a good option for me and putting the gel packs in the mitts ahead of time was much easier than trying to do it later.

Too bulky
Too bulky for really small hands cause it doesn’t have different sizes available. And it looses its temperature fairly quickly. I returned them several days later. Not to impressed.

I LOVE THESE MITTENS!
I have end stage arthritis and was joking that I wish someone made mittens of ice I could slide my hands into. Well after checking amazon I found these! They feel so good and put out the fire in my hands/wrists.Tip: insert the gel bags BEFORE freezing them. Trying to insert frozen packs into the tight fitting mitten was a challenge haha! I store them in a ziplock in the freezer to keep them clean/protected. I LOVE them. You can also warm the gel packs and have warms mittens. My ONLY criticism is the color. It's a pale blue and that's it. No other color choices. No patterns. Just a pale blue. It's a small thing, but when you are in pain, every little bit of pleasure matters. Would love a purple with white polka dots! But that is purely cosmetic. The functionality of the product is GREAT! Love them!Oh, a couple reviews said they were not cold enough through the fabric of the mitten. I have not found that to be true in my experience, but everyone's body is different. I feel it is the perfect amount of coldness without being too cold.Great product!

Very effective and convenient for chemotherapy
I have to wear these for chemotherapy. They are SOO cold that at first I have to put the ice packs underneath with the fabric in between until I can stand to actually put the ice packs inside the mittens. They come with extra inserts that I always bring with me in a cooler, but I have never needed to switch them out bc they stay cold for the entire hour of the infusion. No neuropathies yet! Great product!
