Is this Roux ready for to be used

Yes, just scoop out a few tablespoons and add it to any broth to the desired strength. Here ya go.. Directions Dissolve roux in water over medium heat and let boil for 30 minutes. Add chicken, sliced sausage, tasso, and vegetables Bring to a boil.. Lower fire to a medium heat and cook until chicken and vegetables are tender (bout 1-1.5 hours) Add remaining water and all ingredients except parsley and green onions. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook until chicken is tender (about 1.5 hours). Add green onions and parsley about 15 minutes before serving and Savoie's® Seasoning to your taste. Serve over rice in soup bowls.

Does this need to be refrigerated after opening?

Iput mine in the fridge once i open it.It is just flour and oil.

How long is it good after opened?

The majority of the time the expiration is 2 years shelf life.This is just flour and oil cooked to browni it .I refrigerate it after opening.

I found this roux to be so difficult to stir. Does anyone have any suggestions especially after being refrigerated?
