Killed 5 rats, two managed to escape.
The media could not be loaded. I realised I had rats in the loft, I gave them a rat poison but that was a bad idea. I think because of that they thought they found food and built a nest in my loft somewhere.I think one of the rats was poisoned because when I finally bought these mouse traps and went to the loft, there was a strange smell...Anyway I caught one rat before winter and then left two traps just in case. Now they must have waken up or something after winter, I caught one more yesterday and one today. I binned these two rats (quite big, I’d say around 300-400g) and set two more traps - an hour later another one was caught.I put Nutella in it, I’ve binned the first trap as it was disgusting for me but now I think I’ll reuse them just in case if I need more traps immediately. It’s actually so easy to set up and bin the caught rat.I’m not happy I’ve got rats in the loft but I’m very happy with this product. One rat managed to escape after being caught twice (video attached), so I might need to get a stronger and bigger trap.

Great value strong traps.
Fantastic traps. Have a rat problem living in a rural location with rats in a cavity wall coming into our kitchen through hole behind a floor cupboard. Tried few other traps with no success but put 4 of these below our kitchen units and caught 4 rats within a few hours. Location of entry from the external wall is now blocked and preferred to catch them rather than use poison bate. Great value.

Well made mouse trap
Dislike having to resort to something like this but had mice damaging everything in garage. With electrical equipment there too I looked for something to sort this. Traps appear to be sturdy and well made. Test tripping one made me jump a mile even though I knew it was going off - good to know the mice won't suffer being caught in a weak trap. Good design as you remove and put in the bait pot trap from underneath meaning no caught fingers. There is also quite a large pressure plate surrounding the bait so it would be unlikely for a mouse to be able to eat it without triggering the trap. Put 3 down along the wall and behind items and next morning 2/3 triggered and 2 caught. Did the same again but nothing touched but also no further mice signs. Used peanut butter in trap. Great product

Excellent traps
We ordered this product after feeding wiled birds in our garden started to attract rats as well. They are easy to to set and very affective at dispensing the unwanted guests.I would gladly recommend them to anyone needing them for a similar reason.Caught baby rats with ease. Emptied and caught another in less than two hours.

These traps kill cleanly
I have used these traps in my garage to sort out a mouse problem. They arrived quickly, well packed and undamaged. So far they have got 8 hits. Without providing too much details, I have checked the traps each morning having set them up at night. All mice caught were cleanly and high impact traumatically dispatched. No sign of a lingering death. The traps are easy to clean, but work if you do not. If you catch your fingers in them (I have twice) it hurts, but more of a shock than damage, no broken skin. Not painful enough to make you swear. Really, these are just a better mouse trap. RecommendedUPDATE: (Dec, bought April). The traps break through their own percussive intensity. The clip securing the lock at the back breaks. This is not a reason not to buy them, they are low cost and effective. I still have 4 of the 6 and have a pile of dead mice that makes them great value. I also have a rat problem. I do not think these are effective on larger rodents. I am not sure but I have not caught one yet and one trap was chewed to pieces after being sprung - that brings inhumane images to mind and I'll not try it again (although I am not sure if inhumane is the right word to use when culling rats)

Worked...at first. Maybe not enough for rats.
Within a week of receiving these traps I had caught 2 mice and a rat, after seeing some droppings in the garden. A variety of peanut butter and jam did the trick. However, the droppings persisted and it appears the rodent have become wise to how the traps work. It's been over 3 weeks now and we've caught nothing but a small tuft of hair since that first week. The bait cups are being licked clean and the traps aren't being sprung.I've tested them with a stick and they still spring, however it appears the rodents are smart enough to avoid putting pressure on the pedal that triggers the trap.Something to think about. You may need a variety of traps to trick them, as they're not stupid.Sidenote: the rat we caught was average size, according to Google. About 10 inches nose to tail.I don't care for these creatures one bit, but it suffered as the trap wasn't enough to kill it immediately. I heard it screech and thrash around for a good couple of minutes before giving up.

no luck so far
Set 6 traps around the house but after a week I've had no success. I probably should wait a little longer but an alarm cable has been chewed so I've decided to go to plan "B" and get professional help. If I catch anything in the traps I will update my review but so far I can only give one star. On the positive side the traps are strong and easy to set.update 23/02/20Rats 0 mouse 1. Made short work of a mouse in the garage but no still no luck with rats.

Bang!
Bang!Having had the rear corner of our garden ruined by rats burrowing under the fence and amongst the flower beds, we gave up on the rat poison boxes. Whilst the bait was being eaten, the number of rats tearing up the garden seemed to be increasing. These six nasty rat traps are exactly as nasty and powerful as they look. The bait pots are easy to remove and fill with peanut butter. A good firm grip on the rear of the trap will open and set the trap, and you MUST NOT put your fingers anywhere near the trigger plate. The teeth are sharp and tough, and the mechanism snaps shut with loads of pressure, enough to easily despatch a very large rat.How have they performed after 24 hours? One large rat and two mice are all the evidence I need to say that these traps do an excellent job.
