Bliss without urgency.
Imbues the sacred divine every time I wear and inhale this scent. It’s calming without being sedating. It’s bliss without urgency. I want to spritz my pillowcase and fall asleep embraced by this feeling. I want to share this feeling with every one I meet who breathes in as we hold space for each other. Just thinking of this scent, Petrichor, has me tearing with bliss. I had no inkling a perfume could be this. It is almost impossible to describe. I expected some mud or dirt in the scent. There is none. Hints of fresh slightly damp wood, weathered granite and slate? No mold, mustiness, just fresh, all that is beautiful about that distinct fresh smell of damp outside after the first rain of the season when you are standing near the edge of a forest on the base of a mountain. It surpasses its name. Trying to describe this just fails. If you like musky, heavy, strong, or floral, this is not the scent for you. If you like a subtle scent, one that is almost an afterthought. A scent where they hug you and then melt into you, relaxing and not knowing why they feel so serene, safe, pleasing and they just don’t want to step away and are not even aware they feel this way… this is the fragrance for you. Why I say this: I find myself drawn to smell my wrists. When I dotted my neck my spouse and friend who were both having difficult days hugged me, they immediately relaxed and had not mentioned my fragrance, only that they suddenly felt like they had a Xanax that was did not make them tired or unengaged. They thought it was me, but those at the table who had not hugged me, were not affected in this almost instantaneous fashion, even though most were very close friends with me. The 1 person who hugged me that was not my friend, lingered just a little longer in the hug and their breathing slowed as they did. They went from rushing to leisurely walking away after, smiling slightly to themself when just before they had to rush to an appointment they were late for. Did not trigger migraine in anyone: Scents often trigger cluster migraines for me. They also do for a few of my friends I was to meet later. I had bought the roller ball so I could select where I wanted a drop and would be less likely to trigger a migraine. I WILL be buying a spray and a lotion if. It’s available. At first I applied it in dab. I thought I had not applied enough because it was so faint. Even after applying 1 roll 1/4 inch long. It was faint, but still noticeably there. I do have a sensitive sense of smell. My spouse whose smell is impaired, said she could smell there was a scent there but only because I told her it was there. She could not describe it. She said it was a feeling or a state of being she smelled which was an experience previously unknown to her. It was almost mesmerizing, though we wished we had a more precise word. It is not anything you would consciously notice and might not even if you were told there was a scent and then asked to focus and describe it.

A great replacement for Moroccan Oil scents
Love it! My brother gave me perfume sample of the Moroccan Oil brand, i enjoy the scent but I am boycotting that brand for life because of the terrible place where its made. I've bought other demeter scents and while browsing their website someone mentioned that Kitten Fur smells just like Moroccan Oil and yes it does! Its a perfectly good replacement for those awful products. This is my first roll on perfume by Demeter. I usually get the full size cologne, and the smell of the roll on doesn't seem to last as long but that could just be my skin.

I guess it's true... "All good things must come to an end".
I guess all good things must come to an end. I have ordered this product in the past and received multiple compliments whenever I wore it. It was long lasting and I was so excited to have finally found the "perfect scent". It actually smelled like fresh baby powder. I recently ordered 3 rolls and was very disappointed to find the scent was barely detectible. It was very vague and did not last at all. I could not return it because I had waited over 30 days to open them, because I still had unused product from previous orders and never suspected that the fragrance would be any different. I'm guessing they have changed their formula???? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????

Not Bad
This smells a little different than what I expected. I was expecting something a little more warm and woodsy, but smells more like old people and oat meal haha. The smell is strong as first, but subsides and is more gentle and soft after a few minutes. The smell lasts for roughly an hour.

Great... After a few hours.
I quite like this scent after it's has about three hours to mellow. It's got that sweet vanillin note you want for old paper, a touch of dust, very subtle acrid note for old ink. But when first applied, it's just absolutely overpowering black pepper and nothing else. Eye-watering, like sticking your face directly into a spice bottle and blowing it straight up your nose. That might be a characteristic of the perfume oil, and I do plan to test out the room spray at some point in the future, but I don't think I'll be purchasing the roll-on again.

Sweet dusty scent
Bought because Gerard way once said he wore it. It’s nice, a warm somewhat dusty kind of smell. I pair it with a perfume I have called chai eclair for a nice fall combo. Pretty unisex.

Doesn’t smell like petrichor
This is an interesting scent and I do like it, but it does not smell like petrichor, unfortunately.

Skeptical at first but ended up loving!
*update — have worn this a few days in a row and absolutely love. 10/10 will purchase again. I ordered the Paperback scent out of pure intrigue and also in hopes that it would smell identical. It’s not horrible but not great either; it’s as if an elderly librarian is using Windex to wash windows.
