CotopaxiAllpa 42L Travel Pack

I have traveled the world and used a million bags and suitcase combinations. This is hands down the best travel bag I've ever owned. Absolutely love how much you can fit inside and all the different organization pouches.

Loved this backpack. Versatile. Holds more than enough for week of travel. Straps fit comfortably and easy to adjust. Zippers are smooth and high quality. Color is basic but classic.

Have taken this pack on overseas vacation adventures and can fit 10 days of clothing and other necessities into this great bag. Also works well for work travel as it has a spot for my laptop and other “remote office” essentials. While it does meet carry on specs, on small regional jets it typically does not fit in the overhead and requires gate-checking. Fits nicely in the overhead bin of all larger planes, even when fully packed. I appreciate having a sturdy piece of backpack luggage when in bigger cities as I am not a fan of rolling luggage through the street. And, the included rain cover works well!

I love this bag. It's such a smart design and it holds way more than it looks like it would. I've taken many trips with it, both short (weekend) and long (2 weeks). It fits in the overhead storage for carry-on luggage on large and small planes (on small planes, it only fits lengthwise, however. It will not fit perpendicular, but that's the case for most bulky carry-on luggage on those tiny domestic planes). I love that it has a top zip pocket for easy access to things like headphones, phone, wallet, etc. My only complaint is that my standard size laptop will not fit into the cushioned laptop sleeve - it seems to only fit smaller-sized tech like a tablet or iPad. Other than that, happy customer!

Bought this pack to travel Europe with. I like it better than a typical backpacker's backpack as it has so many compartments and ways to access them. I also love that there are 2 types of straps to carry it. Never had a problem taking it as a carry-on. On one flight I had to open it to fit, but the airline was fine with it and due to the compartments, so was the bag!

I took this to Europe for two weeks and it was great. The zippers are strong and have an anti-theft feature. The compartments lend themselves well to compression sacks. It’s pretty comfortable although with 25 pounds inside and a daypack in addition, it was heavy. AirFrance wanted to make me check it but let me on with it as I pleaded that it’s standard carryon size.

Apparently, the outer liner of the bag is very fragile, as it scrapped right off from placing it in an overhead bin on an airplane. I reached out to Cotopaxi about the issue. They replied that it is not scratch resistant and because it was damaged placing it into an overhead bin on an airplane it was not covered under warranty stating, " Lost, stolen, or damaged during personal trips or while traveling" are excluded. They will however take the item back without a refund to repurpose. " If your item is damaged beyond repair, or you do not wish to keep it, please let us know and we can issue you a FedEx shipping label. We can have your unwanted item sustainably repurposed.If you're purchasing this for travel, be advised. Also, if you're expecting a little more durability in a pack that retails over $200.
