I haven’t had hot rollers in decades and decided to get a set and this was a great set for me. It has enough of the bigger rollers. I think there’s like six of them. I ended up maybe not even using all of them and then the mediums and I don’t think I touched any of the small ones I have shoulder length hair. It worked great for me. Super simple. There is no on/ off button that I can tell. I literally just plugged it in and it lit up and takes about 10 minutes or so to heat up. the one roller has a dot that will change colors when it’s heated and when it’s cool it’s a different color so you just keep an eye on that. I realized the pins themselves are different sizes to fit the different size rollers. Each pin has a colored dot at the end to indicate which size roller it fits. Very easy to use. The rollers were hot. I would say not too hot to damage hair. The inside where your hair touches is like a soft felt material.

I just received this roller set this evening, and I tried it right away. I noticed a hot plastic smell, which I guess is to be expected. It heats up relatively fast, although not as fast as my curling iron. I like that I can set my hair, then do my makeup while the curlers do their work. They did a good job curling my hair. We'll see how long the curls last. The two negatives: no automatic shutoff (which would have been convenient), and NO place to put the J-clips, unlike any hot roller set I've ever had before. Fortunately, I have a slot to put them in my makeup tray, but it would be a lot more convenient in the unit itself, especially for traveling.

Great investment for my shoulder length hair. Soft curls and easy to use.

This is replacement for an earlier model of the same which I had for about 15 years. The 15 year old model still heats up well but the curlers were a different design and the plastic edges were starting to crumble and break off. Because the model is so old replacement curlers are no longer available. I love the new model! The case is redesigned and looks good and is a similar size so it fits in the space for them. The new model actually curls my hair better than the old one. I have a lot of long hair but it's fine and somewhat wavy and the curlers work very well on my hair. The heat indicator dot on one roller tells me when they are ready. The redesigned clips work well and better than the old. I wish they would have provided one extra clip for each size though. I'm very happy with these hot rollers and wish I hadn't waited so long to get them.

The diameter of the largest rollers is 1.25”; but that is counting the plastic ends, not the part that you twist your hair around. Thus, the curls actually are smaller than I wanted. I cannot use the medium or small rollers as they are way too small for my almost shoulder-length hair. I wish I had known what was really meant by 1.25”. The other aspect about the Remington Ionic Conditioning Hair Setter is that there is NO pocket in which to store the roller pins. So you will have all these pins that must be stored separately and brought out when needed. I should return this as I’ve tried it and do not like it for myself. Otherwise, if you don’t mind these issues, it is a nice set of rollers and the pins actually hold very well. I also liked the velvet on the rollers.

This little machine is very basic but gets the job done. I used the rollers after I dried my hair for about 10 min. and they produced a great curls. The velvet covered rollers make it easy to unwind your hair and it’s not too hot to touch. Unfortunately, there is no automatic shut off, so don’t forget to unplug the machine after you set your last roller.

The number and sizes of rollers are just right for my short (4-6”) hair. However, because the rollers are hot, I hold onto the end caps as I roll up my hair. So some of the end caps have come off. I tried gluing them back, but they don’t stay. I’m trying to find a way to fix this problem as I use almost all the rollers everyday. I wrote the company, but I haven’t heard anything back. Other than this problem, this roller set works very well for me. I don’t see any other brand that meets my needs, so I trying to make this set work.

This Remington ionic hair setter heats up quickly, is simple to use and creates smooth curls with good hold. The rollers feel gentle on the hair, the clips keep everything in place and the ionic feature helps reduce frizz. It works well for adding volume or loose curls and is convenient for getting ready at home.
