This is a great desk for a great price. It is a very durable piece. This desk was used for an attorney's office and can withstand both the traffic and the weight of stacks of paperwork. Building the desk was very simple and straight forward, they included two instruction manuals, one for a right side set up and one for a left side setup. I had a few replacement parts, but the customer service department was very understanding and offered viable solutions. I bought the White Chocolate version and the office staff absolutely loved it. 10/10 would recommend.

So the desk is very poor quality. Barely a step above cardboard. The directions are very poorly written and several pieces don’t line up as they should. We had to drill several holes in order to get the pieces to fit as they should. The original delivery was missing several pieces and several damaged. The company did (finally) send replacements but took a while and I was left with this desk in pieces all over the room until I got the replacements. I truly regret buying it and would have sent it back except they said I’d have to pay for return shipping and I’d have to rebox all three boxes and take them to shipment place. I’m 68 years old and no way can I lift them to do that. What good was prime in this order? If you want junk and a lot of aggravation ok but if not DON’T BUY THIS DESK

As stated in a few other reviews the directions can get a bit confusing but if you take your time and place pieces for visual with pics in directions it comes together. There are a few connections with no pre-drilled holes specifically on the molding pieces and the metal brackets that connect the desk pieces. I added Elmer's glue to all the posts that insert into the locks and instead of using the metal brackets to connect the executive desk to the L-shaped, I used 3 bracket to connect the L-shape. There is also a left over large piece that I did not see used in the directions that I put on top of the hutch to give it a more professional look but did not screw in. The extra bracket and Elmer's glue made it much more sturdy as the posts do not all fit tightly. There is plenty of desk space...I work from home and have multiple laptops and monitors and no problem getting everything setup with plenty of workspace to spare. The directions call for 2 people for assembly but I was able to put it together myself over 4 days after work working at a casual pace. I was also able to move it myself a short distance but it is extremely heavy and sliding on a rug or rough surface is quite difficult. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend to anyone needing a lot of desk space.

For the price, it's a decent desk - lots of workspace, and for a particle board product it looks OK (I just replaced a 25 year old Sauder desk with this one). It does take a long time to put together, primarily due to the instructions being a vague on some of the details, and the diagrams are hard to figure out. If Bestar had an assembly video on their website it would have really been helpful to see the parts/process. It's particle board, so you don't want to move it around a lot once it's put together. I left mine far enough away from the walls that I can get behind it if I need to. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a less expensive option than solid wood for a large desk, just make sure you assemble it where it's going to sit in your room.

I read the reviews before I bought it and expected the worst for assembly. To preface this review, I have experience putting things together just based on furniture I’ve purchased on the web. So, I do understand how the fasteners are used and how directions are usually written. I had my dad help me out because some of the pieces are heavy and require two people to attach pieces together. And the directions tell you this is recommended. I was surprised that most of the pieces were labeled and directions were clear about what pieces are used on each page. The only pieces that were not labeled were the drawer pieces. And that was pretty easy to figure out. It took us about 2.5 hours and the process was smooth. I have to say that the desk looks great in my space and functionality seems well thought out. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase. Just in case you are reading the other reviews and are a little hesitant on attempting to put it together, just know if you have a helper and take your time with each step you will have no problem with assembly.

For those of you that gave bad stars, it's because you are terrible with instructions. Yes they can be challenging but if you take your time, it goes together great!! Only two issues, the screws they give, the Philip head is to wide. I used every type of Philip head and they all stripped. No big deal. I went to the hardware store and got a box of 50 1inch screws. Boom it's fixed!! Second issue was I was missing one boars for the shelving. Called the company and she said I'm so sorry sir. What part number? Told her and no questions asked, sent the missing piece. Took 4 business days. Never do I get that good of a service!! For $750?!?! This desk is a TANK!! I felt bad for the delivery guy. Came in 3 boxes. All extremely heavy!! Had to carry from garage to room in pieces!! Lol yes it's heavy so I recommend two people put together but I would by another no joke. This thing is rock solid!! To the guy that did hot glue with those plug green things, dude you did something wrong. Unnecessary!! When put together right, all my boards were solid!! For this price I really am shocked. The finish and color is crazy nice!!

I have had this desk a couple of months now. It is great and functioning exactly as I had hoped it would. There were a few screws that were a little too short, but we've replaced them and it is holding together well. A well priced desk and worth the price.

A few of the parts where not lettered or numbered. Also if the assembly screws, etc. where placed in separated bags as per each step it would be a lot easier to follow directions. Otherwise it was quite easy to assemble.
