Good little scale
Not a good item to keep in your shirt pocket but it's convenient. I use it when I mead to scale something on plans.

Almost perfect
This little scale is Awesome. If you work for the manufacturer please pass my notes: The edges on the top and bottom are sharp. Sharp enough to tear a shirt pocket or safety vest. I ground the corners down to fix but it took off the anodized color. Also this thing only needs to be six inches long MAX. It's too too long and sticks out of the top of a shirt pocket enough to poke you all the time. If your the manufacturer it doesn't need to be the diameter of a pen. It's so small the lines blur. Make this thing 6" long with the pen clip and make it 5/8" thick so it's more usable the current 3/8" diameter is tiny tiny. This is made for field use, so make it field usable. We have fat fingers and are using it out in the dirt.

Very convenient for engineers or students
Got this as a gift for my roommate when we were both engineering students. I got one from a career fair and EVERYONE, professors and classmates, would always notice it and comment on it in a positive way. This one is just the same and is super cute and easy to cary around. Numbers are legible and my roommate loved it. Plus, it has a clip!

POCKET SIZE!!!
OH MAN did I fall over laughing when I opened this thing up today. It’s so tiny. It’s my own fault because I read “pocket size” and just didn’t even think about it. I don’t know why I thought this thing was going to be normal size and “6 inches” made it magically fit in a pocket but I did. It’s the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen honestly. BUT it’s actually crystal clear and feels solid for its size. It’s definitely not a bad purchase just be aware that “pocket size” literally means this thing could fit in your pocket!

Wow am I an idiot! This thing is just tiny!
OK so firstly being an older type person and a bit nostalgic, I've been trying to go back to analogue days - rather than doing network and construction designs digital from step 1, doing a quick draft on paper first - it's more about focusing on the design first and not being distracted by the technology. Important for me was that anything I have is marked with metric. My first port of call was Staedtler Engineer 12 inch / 60 cm ruler (987M1834BK) which I picked up for cheap money - a little over 6 bucks on special. That's a full size ruler which is easy to hold and easy to read. Solid too - you could fend off a cougar with this thing. When I saw this "pocket" ruler on special for 2 bucks, I thought it would be a useful addition - slightly smaller. Now here's where I'm kind of chuckling - it came in the post today in a large Amazon bubble wrap envelop and I literally couldn't tell there was anything in it, it is that small! I always sighed when I saw reviews from people complaining about things when all they had to do was read the description first. Well today I am that man! In this case however, no complaints - it's my own damn fault, but man is this thing small! For me I suspect it won't be that useful - the scale, although being nice contrast white on black, is much smaller than my Staedtler so much harder to read. Also physically it is much harder to pick up, move and hold in place - even pinching around it is difficult and it's not because I have bananas for fingers. So lesson learnt for me - this is what "pocket" truly means. Honestly, for 2 bucks no worries, but my full size Staedtler is much more usable from a desk environment. Only get a pocket ruler if you really, really need that compact size. Update: Just realised why this was on special - some nefarious geezer had previously returned it whilst simultaneously forgetting to both include the clip and notify Amazon of same. So in essence my 2 buck deal was a "partial success". Double Bah Humbug! hth Dingo

Adorably portable
I don't use words like this often, but this thing is adorable, it's so tiny! I saw 6" length and figured it was just a half-sized version of a standard scale, but it's actually really tiny; it's 6" in length, but it's a thick as a pencil! Unexpected, but honestly works out better as I got this for a portable scale I can keep in my pocket and this is perfect for that!

Excellent scale
I use this scale almost everyday, and it easily fits in my little tablet “briefcase”. Of course the numbers and lines are small, it’s a mini scale ruler! I would buy again.
