LuminoxMen's 3001 Quartz Navy Seal Dive Watch

I love this watch! Worth the money for sure.
Love these watches! I abused my first one for about 2 years before it broke. And when I say abused, I do mean it. I went from working on underground conduit/utilities and doing a lot of shovel work and getting into tight, muddy spaces with my hands, to being a US Marine and running obstacle courses and every other thing imaginable with it on. It got beat up pretty bad most days, and it lasted two whole years. And then, I bought this one and I have had it for about 6 months or so and it's continued to work great. I just went diving with the watch on the other day and we went down to 75 feet and nothing happened. No fog or condensation under the glass afterwards, nothing. They bill it as a dive watch and as being able to withstand depths of up to 200 meters (656 ft), and I wouldn't doubt it. As a new diver, I will probably feel unsafe going any further down long before this watch gets anywhere near breaking or leaking. I love the glow dots on the outside of the numbers. They are bright enough to see at night or in low light situations, but not distracting at all. They also require no "recharging" from the sun or a light source, as they run on tritium. Also, the rotating outer bezel is a nice feature. It functions as a great "count up" timer and I use it for timing my bottom time during dives. Just rotate the bezel's "0" spot to where the minute hand (or I guess second hand too) currently is and then whatever number on the bezel the hand points to after that is how many minutes/seconds have passed. Really simple, yet useful tool. Anyway, Great watch! I love it through and through.

Luminox 3001
I have several high-end watches including a Submariner and a Yacht Master and find myself selecting the Luminox more often-than-not. I really like the light weight polymer case and seemingly indestructible nature of this timepiece. Since it’s a quartz movement, it keeps near perfect time. The mineral bezel has seen some hard knocks and still looks brand new. I did end up replacing the band after about a year when the original band started to fail. I bought a set of tiny screwdrivers and even though not endorsed by Luminox, I have replaced the battery a couple times now. You have to be very careful with the water-seal o-ring as it’s a little difficult to reinstall perfectly. My wife and I spend considerable time on and in the ocean and I never think twice about wearing this timepiece. Although I’ve have not worn the watch scuba diving, I wear it when snorkeling, swimming, sailing and fishing. I like this watch so much, I ordered a second one with a blue face. If I had to find any fault with the watch, it is that the factory will not sell or make available replacement parts (I wanted to replace the o-ring). Their service is also pricey for a $200 watch. To get the o-ring replaced, they quoted an approximate $65.00 subject to change once they performed in inspection. Otherwise, I highly recommend this watch.

I wear this more than my other luxury watches!
I was pretty excited when my luminox arrived! Watch is clean, not too big and rugged as hell. Super light weight, tough and has a constant lume glow! My Rolex and omega only last 15-20min. This watch has been out of the sun for 6 hours and still glows. The only thing I will change is the strap to a nato. The strap it comes with is great, but a little big for my liking. Other than that.. love it!

Great original Luminox
I had one of these that was 20 years old and the markers were losing their light. This one was exactly the same. It is a great, accurate, lightweight watch. I replaced the rubber band with a poly, linked bracelet and love it.

I like the accurate time keeping and visibility of the watch face during low light conditions! Excellent value!

Unable to find a similar watch. This is perfect for me
You may read the rest of this review because this used to be the perfect watch for me. But they are lasting less and less time. The luminox people want you to send it to them for a battery change although changing batteries is easy. The reason is that they want to pressurize the watch. There ought to be a better way. This particular watch only lasted 20 days so I sent it back to Amazon. My first one of these lasted for years. I replaced the battery once, but the gasket was sufficient to keep the water out. I don't dive, however. I wear the watch in the shower and also doing things like untangling mooring lines. In other words, the watch never is in water deeper than a foot.My second watch had a battery go dead within a couple of years, and the gasket seemed to be totally inadequate - actually losing its elasticity. It got moisture inside when I changed the battery. I tried to remember not to wear it in the shower again, but I had a habit of years behind me. The next time I tried to dry it out on top of the toaster oven, the face melted. The third one had a white face. It turned out it made the watch hard to read in dim light. It had to be either completely dark or completely light. I wore it for about a year, and it needed a new battery. When I put it in, I thought I got it tight enough, but it acquired moisture in the shower. I left it in the sun which drove the moisture out, but it was only a matter of time until I did it again. The watch still works, but I can't see the dial well at all.Hence watch number 4. So far, all is well with it. The huge advantage of this kind of watch is that it is easy to read. Open one eye at night, and you can see it. The dial is bright enough that you can get an aspirin bottle out of the medicine chest by it at night without putting on the light. I love everything about the watch. I marked it down because apparently the only way to reliably have it be water resistant is to have the manufacturer replace batteries. That is just plain silly.Amazon uses a seller that guarantees the watch as Luminox has apparently had some sort of disagreement with Amazon and won't honor the guarantee if you bought it from them.By the way, I can't imagine Navy Seals could wear this on any sort of mission. It glows too brightly.

Great watch. 1st one lasted 20 years! Just replaced.
Favorite watch to wear for everyday. Best feature is easy to read in the dark. Also it's very waterproof. Repurched after wearing 1st one for 20 years.

the watch of it self and how stylish it was when i got it
The Luminox is a great watch to own it's light wait and glow in the dark at night which is fantastic but i wish they made a bigger watch strap for it, some thing that they could consider in the future not every has a small wrist, apart from that it's five out of five for me

Good watch overall
Good watch overall, a bit disappointed in the rotating bezel, feels a bit loose between notches. Luminous is great, very comfortable watch. Over all a good investment
