This NordicWare 1/2 sheet pan is a great, no synthetic material pan that really works well. It cleans up easily with minimal effort. It is best used for all half sheet uses; rolled cakes, baking and roasting; not necessarily just baking cookies. This pan makes a great jelly roll, buche cake, and a real half sheet cake; good to cut in half and layer. This pan is also good for stacking and sculpting to decorate, as for a wedding cake. As far as I am concerned the lid is just an added bonus, I would buy the pan with or without it! I have a whole set, more than one in each size. Good job Amazon!! Love this pan. It is sturdy without being too heavy and no nonstick coating to wear off. They bake very evenly without much fuss. Some bakers joy and things just pop right out perfectly. The lids are very convenient for transporting your dish or at home instead of covering with with foil or plastic wrap. If you are looking for great baking pans that are durable (pretty much can't destroy them unless you drop them and they bend), won't rust, have no coating to flake off in your food, bake evenly and are easy to take care this pan and the many others from Nordic Ware are what I would recommend. Worth every penny, though they are not expensive at all.

Superior quality. Best sturdy sheet pan I have ever purchased. Just wonderful that it even comes with a sturdy plastic cover to keep my Texas Sheet Cake fresh. Love it!

I love all things Nordic Ware. All the baking sheets are clean, sleek, and all the sizes make me happy for different baking reasons. These are lightweight, sturdy, and easy to clean. I really like the informational sheet that comes with the item that lets you know that if you put these in the dishwasher, they will lose their sheen. They still work, but they don't stay as shiny as when you get them if you put them in the dishwasher.

The pan is nice and sturdy and I am sure it will hold up well. However, the metal surface seems soft and it scratches easily, so it won’t look nice for long. The lid fits well and keeps baked goods fresh.

Amazing. Recently moved and needed to stock kitchen. A cookie sheet wasn't really my first priority - plates and pans and silverware seemed more important. Until I wanted to roast potatoes.... Realized I needed a good large sheet for roasting veggies, which I do a lot. I also wanted a cookie sheet for baking... So I researched. I don't remember everything I read, but one idea stuck in my head. I had expected to buy two separate things, because I always liked the idea of a cookie sheet without sides that wouldn't interfere with the cookies (I find cookies with a straight edge bizarre). On the other hand, one of the blogs / review / articles I read mentioned that a good cookie sheet with side was versatile - and I realized that was the perfect solution. Ok, sold on the idea of a cookie sheet with sides. And the Nordic was generally considered the best. Then I learned that Nordic makes this one - plain aluminum - and another non-stick version. Again, turn to the research and they recommended the straight aluminum. It can be scrubbed clean and is pretty non-stick by nature. Even found this one with a lid - sold! I wanted to but they only had one in stock, so I figured it would be better to test first anyway. Bought it. Washed it. Discolored. Yup, before even one use, it was stained and discolored. But I didn't worry, I knew to expect that. So, I roasted my potatoes. Then my sweet potatoes. Then pumpkin. Even a whole chicken (haven't bought a roasting pan yet). Nothing stuck, everything cooked. No complaints. Then I made cookies. And I finally remembered this was a cookie sheet. The thick aluminum bottom did its job... these are the best cookies I've ever made. Cooked absolutely to perfection. Even browning on the bottom. Crisp bottom, gooey center. Incredible! I'm not a bad cook, but I've generally figured ingredients were the most important part. I was wrong. This cookie sheet puts all other cookie sheets to shame. Forget those sideless, air-pocketed, flimsy, warping sheet. This is incredible. And I'm going to order a second one right now! Two of these will probably cook 90% of the food that goes in my oven. And looking forward to years of use, as others have found them quite durable. PS - haven't used the lid yet, but figured it's nice to have around. I'm sure I'll be taking something somewhere with the holidays coming up.

I bought this for my mother and she loves it! It is so nice to have a lid that fits a cookie sheet! We bought it because we needed to transport a birthday cake to a reunion 4 hours away. It worked wonderfully. It is also nice to keep things fresh when you don't eat it all in one setting. This is a nice sturdy pan that will last. The lid is a hard plastic that also seems very durable. I want one for me now!

I bought this and had it shipped to the UK. I cannot find anything like it here - certainly not for the value/quality. This is such a useful item - I can use it for so many things - as well as for baking. It is quite big, but it is well worth the cupboard space. I certainly intend to purchase the others in the same range. I bought this one first as I wanted to transport a large birthday cake for my grandson's birthday. To produce bakeware that has a lid, which is affordable and a good quality is such a fantastic find!

The tray and lid look to be of high quality, but please check the size of your oven first as this tray was just to big for mine. My stupid fault.

This baking pan is one of the best basic pans I own. I have two and wanted to get another one after using a knife on one and leaving knife marks. The metal is durable and large enough for baking most things, but not overly large so it doesn't fit in the oven. The only downside (or upside) is that it is has no non-stick coating (Cringe, double negative). This makes some things stick to it but at the same time, you don't have to worry about scratching the finish. It will develop spots on it after a while, but it doesn't affect the performance. It should last a lifetime and makes a great baking sheet. Edit: It's been a few years and still looks and functions like it's brand new. I think Nordicware will be my go to for baking sheets from now on.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law who has been wanting one of these for a few months. I found it on Amazon and from what i can tell it is great quality so I am sure she will be happy.
