You really can’t there are no zippers and they are not big enough to fit over them.

Unless you have a really tiny waist compared to your hips that elastic is fine.

I’m about the same size. Small was perfect. Love these pants!

It really depends on the type of jeans, meaning if you wear skinny jeans then yes, but if you wear something more baggy then I would think it would be uncomfortable. I would recommend fleece lined leggings or something tight fitting. They are very warm and comfortable.
