15-Minute Watercolor Masterpieces: Create Frame-Worthy Art in Just a Few Simple Steps

Great book for beginners or for those like me who are getting back to paintings after years. Covers basics, providing step by step for plenty of undaunting little artworks.

I wasn’t sure about this book to begin with and dithered about purchasing it. But now I have it I’m so glad I got it because I know it will help me to improve my watercolour technique. This isn’t for the advanced watercolorist - I think it’s more aimed at beginner to intermediate levels. I’ve been painting with watercolour for 5 or 6 months - mainly florals but I want to try other things like landscapes, scenery and animals. I’ve already tried a couple of the exercises and because they aren’t too long it has meant if I don’t think I did it as well as the example in the book then I can redo it until I’m confident that I’ve mastered the technique. Each exercise is clearly broken down into stages that are easy to follow and the author gives examples at each stage that you can follow. I’ve bought about 10 watercolour colour books since I started watercolour and this is one of my favourites

This book is amazing! I definitely recommend it. Flipped through quickly and I am amazed and so excited to do the activities. I have started reading and it is great for beginners. I have some experience and it is still refreshing for me to read. Please buy this book!

I usually watch youtube videos for watercolours but needed something I could use offline during my holiday as the internet was going to be patchy. I absolutely love this book- I was very surprised as I thought I wouldn't like this format to learn. I've learnt so much from this book already and find it super simple and easy to follow. I can see my progress with each project which is really satisfying. There are so many projects to work your way through, and they are all gorgeous and fun to work on. I'm back from my holiday now but will continue to use this over the videos I was previously watching. Don't think twice about this book, it's awesome!

I already knew Anna's art through her Instagram page. This book is for beginners. Exactly what I was looking for. It starts with watercolour techniques and exercises, colour theory, and 7 chapters describing how to watercolour a theme. For each painting, Anna starts with supplies, tips, project colours, and then describes and illustrates how to watercolour step-by-step. It makes me feel inspired and adventurous. Can't wait to try all my favourite designs.

It is a nice book for beginners, the projects are very simple, broken down into stages so you can't really go wrong. Most of the illustrations are small so this book would be a good option for those who are starting a journal. It is ideal for that. She is a good teacher, it's all very clear. But... Truthfully I want to like this book as it has much to offer but it is very girly, very pastel and very twee. Some of the florals are pretty but then you get to lipstick, handbags and shoes, cupcakes and unicorns. It's all a matter of personal preference as to whether you will love or hate it.

I am a watercolorist using traditional tube ,pan and now pencil watercolurs.I use stretched paper or masked paper or 300gsm.I am happy to endorse this book either as a paperback or the Kindle version to many who have wanted even briefly, to dabble in watercolours,either as a present or for one's library.
