Meta Quest Link Cable - Virtual Reality Headset Cable for Quest - 16FT (5M) - PC VR

After trying many different cables, this is the cable I've landed on and it works flawlessly! The Meta Link cable uses fiber so it is able to deliver USB 3.0 5Gbps speeds at a much longer range than copper based cables. Also if you have a power delivery USB-C port on your desktop/laptop then you will be able to keep the headset charged while playing. Other USB C to C cables use copper so they are much thicker/stiffer and can't go as long (longest I found was only 2.5M). The Meta Link cable is very light and flexible and also comes with a little cable strap, so you can tie it to the side of your headset so you don't feel a cable pulling down on the headset. I am very happy with this cable due to its: * length, which allows me to cable manage it around my desk and into my sim rig * weight, which makes it easy to forget about when using * ability to charge while playing (granted you have a power delivery port) * stable connection, I've raced hours at a time without any hitches I know this cable is pretty pricey, but you get a really high quality cable for it. If you're really budget conscious, search Amazon for fiber USB C to C cables and you will likely be able to find cables for slightly less (but still more than a copper cable). But remember a high quality copper cable will be stiffer and can't delivery high speeds at a longer length!

After trying out a few third party accessories which always turned out to be junk, I caved and bought the official Meta Elite Battery Strap. And boy am I glad I did! It has a very premium look and feel and is very sturdy, unlike the flimsy third party straps which felt like they were going to fall apart. This thing extends your battery life by ~2 hours, basically doubling your battery life, it is much more comfortable than the stock strap, and what I really like about it is that the battery from the strap is used first, before the headset. You can also see the battery level of the headset and extended battery separately inside the headset. You can charge this battery strap and the headset at the same time and using only one cable, and it’s also worth mentioning that the Meta official charging dock actually charges the strap AND the headset at the same time! I will be going with Meta official accessories from now on as that seems to be the way to go! Sure it’s a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for with these Meta official accessories!

Oh my goodness! This thing is fun! I am a 59 year old woman who cannot melt and pour myself into an exercise routine. As a last ditch effort, I decided to try this thing. I bought the ‘Supernatural’ game for this unit and love it! I am out of shape, so when I do one single session it wears me out. But I enjoy it so much that I don’t dread the sessions. Hopefully with time using this system, I will be able to get back in shape. I am not very ‘techy’ but I had no problem learning how to use this thing.It really is easy to use and understand. My living space is very small but with the Supernatural game it doesn’t take much room. I love the feature of this devise where you can tap the side of the unit and immediately see your surroundings without having to take the headset off. Although this was a very pricey investment, it was worth it! Fun, easy to use, and effective for my purposes!

Well i had a quest 1 forever and the strap was so perfect, anyway i got the quest 3, and i knew there was all this stuff about straps straps from watching the news on quest 2, so i knew not to expect much from the strap included with the system. However, while it was less comfortable than my quest 1 strap, i was thinking hmm but they say for $70 more it can be more comfortable (probably even better than quest 1 strap!), so i get this elite strap, super easy install like 5 minutes, did it 30 minutes ago and then i got to adjusting it all different ways and trying to tell myself this is better than even the standard strap included with meta quest 3, i spent like 20 minutes in the dark perfecting how to position it but i just want to ask how is this more comfortable, its heavier seemingly no matter where i position it (eg base of skull, middle and upper) so im not sure im believing this hype about weight distribution etc, also you are click clack click clacking this dial on the back like you are on a slow roller coaster then you clack it one dial too much and its too tight, 1 dial less and its too loose, readjust too strap etc etc. and in the dark there clicking and clacking, i realize this is an actual ratchet on our heads, they’re no elastic play in the mechanism that i can detect so i think it sounds weird and feels weird and i also was thinking there in the clickity-clackity darkness how this could be dangerous for people, putting it on too tightly and its potential to cut off circulation on certain veins, and also just putting this thing improperly on certain people could be 1. Dangerous for them, and 2. More likely to get broken when your heathen cousins or whatever try to rip it off their heads. But i will try it a little while longer and revise my review up or down. Update: after using this a couple hours i decided i do like it. Important not to crank it to where you can feel it pressing. Once you get the hang of it, its comfortable. Seems to be very high quality also, but i would recommend you for sure make it clear to people you let use it to twist the dial counter clockwise before attempting to remove it. Otherwise i do believe they will damage it.

Amazing wire amazing speed and light weight convient to use...

When you try to charge the battery, the status LED lights up for 30 seconds, and then goes off. The battery does not charge at all. For something so expensive and so simple, this is downright ridiculous. Apparently this is a very common issue - do a quick search and you will find out about this. Until the issue is fixed, I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

A bit pricy but it just works. Improves video quality greatly. Recommended if you don't want to have a router specifically setup for VR only. The cable is long enough and added weight is barely noticeable.

Fazit: Sehr gutes Ding. Nahezu perfekter Komfort. Dennoch billiges Gefühl und sehr teuer. Vorteile: - Absoluter Game-Changer. Zusammengefasst ändert sich einiges mit dem Komfort im Gegensatz zu dem originalen Riemen. 1. Viel einfacher anzupassen: Einfach das Rad hinten drehen. Viel besser als das originale. 2. Sobald es gut angebracht ist, merkt man, dass es besser sitzt. (Ich trage eine Brille, und muss sagen dass es nicht mehr so abrutscht wie früher. Ausserdem hat der originale Riemen mir konstant auf die Brille gedrückt und sie sogar leicht verbogen mit dem ganzen Druck). Ausserdem passt es besser auf das Gesicht, weswegen man den Ausschnitt der Nase weniger sieht, was einen mehr auf das Spiel konzentrieren lässt. Das Gewicht ist wie versprochen auch viel besser verteilt und es rutscht nicht mehr wenn man seinen Kopf schnell bewegt. Letztens kann ich noch erwähnen, dass sich das Headset mit dem Elite Riemen besser auf- und absetzen lässt. Nachteile: - Billiges Gefühl: Ist mir noch nicht kaputt gegangen, aber es fühlt sich so an als könnte es jeden Moment kaputt gehen. Leicht biegbar (wahrscheinlich aus funktionalen Gründen) - Preis: Dieser Riemen ist natürlich ein Premium-Upgrade. Man kauft sich also den Komfort den Meta von Anfang an hätte benutzen sollen. Aber naja, was soll’s.

Hierfür muss es dann die größere Tasche sein. --Fazit - Komfort und Funktion in Perfektion-- Der Elite-Riemen mit Akku ist eine klare Empfehlung für jeden Quest-3-Nutzer. Er bietet nicht nur eine deutliche Verbesserung des Tragekomforts, sondern auch eine signifikante Verlängerung der Akkulaufzeit. Trotz des etwas höheren Preises gegenüber Mitbewerbern erhält man ein hochwertiges und durchdachtes Zubehörteil, das den ohnehin beeindruckenden Funktionsumfang der Quest 3 sinnvoll ergänzt.
