I was living in the dark for ages, till I found this. Amazing light, now I have illumination during the dark ages.

I uninstalled a light fitting (which housed 8 units of E14 standard white bulbs) for the Philips Hue Argenta quadruple spotlights. I love the fact that the 4 spotlights are independent and you can choose different colours, shades and brightness of each bulb.I already own a sync box and 4 Philips Hue play bar stuck to the back of my TV and this spotlight also add to the immersion of the contents I use the play bars for; either music, movies or games and when I'm not syncing the spotlights to TV contents, e.g., when watching regular TV, I can choose which side of the room I want to dim, brighten, change colour turn off, etc. And when it is time for bed, the light's brightness is on 20%, ensuring I can still see around the front room but not straining my eyes, all at the tap of the phone screen.It is worth mentioning that if you have a big room, dark spots is inevitable unless you have/are prepared to invest in other light source(s), otherwise, the spotlight may not be ideal as my living room is slightly bigger because of the extension so the light only properly covered the areas the unit is closer too, creating dark spots in two areas. This is the only downside of my purchase but will not cost a less star as this is not manufacturer's misinformation or fault of any kind.I will invest in a floor lamp for atmospheric lighting to cover a dark spot and also to complement the ambient lighting with the hope that the other dark spot won't be noticeable as much. But all in all, This unit has totally transformed my living room, especially at night and absolutely happy with this purchase.

The light itself is great. It includes 4 gu10 hue colour bulbs which makes the price a little more palatable.However, the install turned out to be way more painful than it needed to be. Three main things. Firstly the earth connector is on the edge of the unit, so you’ll need a long earth run to reach. Second and most annoyingly the fitted connectors to the L&N are a joke. I couldn’t get them to close properly on the cables. I eventually gave up and used a normal chockblock. Lastly the bar that fixes to your ceiling is just a little too short. That made fixing the 2nd screw harder than you’d expect … and maybe a couple of screw covers could have been included as they are quite obvious. Overall though, the light unit is great.

The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is due to the price, I should mention.We got this for our kitchen to replace a horrid fluorescent light that the previous owners had left in. By contrast this well designed light has a sleek modern look, and gives the appearance of daylight.Fitting is reasonably easy, although it is a lot easier with an assistant. There is a metal bracket at the back with plenty of “give” and the only issue is to get the back plate into place with two decent screws. I was impressed that once one screw was fitted, it did take the weight when I accidentally let go. Getting the second screw in was a bit of a faff on, but once in it seems really secure.Fitting itself would be ideal for a modern living room and you can obviously sync the spotlights to your TV etc. For us it throws good light in our small kitchen where I can’t fit LED bulbs in the ceiling due to lack of clearance.It’s stylish to look at, and although it is expensive, I am glad I’ve bought it.

Already have a Hue flat panel in the room and wanted this to compliment it. Easy to install for an Electrition. But when using it for the fist time one of the bulbs was unresponsive to the app and Alexa. Switched the light off at the wall after a while switched it back on and the bulb blew. Amazon wouldn’t send out a replacement so had to return it but now the price is nearly £60 more. Phillips wouldn’t replace the bulb as it was in the 30 day returns period

I love these - very nice looking & good light control through the Hue app.I bought them on offer at 1/2 price, which was great - not so sure about value for money at full price

The media could not be loaded.  Wow, wow and 5 x wow! Those are like cherry on top of the cake. Love HUE, my whole house is made out of HUE bulbs and HUE lamps. I know, expensive but hey we have only one life! It is worth it every penny you spend on those lamps. See for yourself on the photos and video. Just renovating my master bedroom and those are perfect fit. Buy them is you need cool lights. Seriously extremely happy with them and I have fitted them myself so saved a little bit on mr sparky lol!
