Some reviews complain that it is smaller than expected. The outside measurements given are accurate, but keep in mind the dimensions include the frame and "feet." Here are the approximate inside measurements for each of the three drawers: 11.75 inches from front to back, 10.75" wide and 10" deep. We bought this unit to tidy up our mudroom area which we use as our kitty nook. The bins are a good size for stashing items like liners, gloves and masks, a spare bag of dry cat food, and shoes. We are not utilizing it as a bench but as a shelf. It may be more expensive than average compared to other similar units, but the wood slat design that matched our exiting unit, the color, and the measurements made it absolutely perfect for our needs. It took my husband a little less than an hour to put together. He had one complaint about "no arrow mark" on a screw or something. But it is solid, and as you can see, looks great. We are 100% pleased.

I’m updating this review 12 years after I first wrote it after buying 2 of these storage benches on Amazon 22 years ago. In the 12 years we have had these, my two children have used them daily. They have been sat and stood on by both parents and our kids, banged on, and moved from one spot to another. This is a quality furniture and one of the best things I’ve found for family living.Original review (12 years ago):This is the second piece of children's furniture I have purchased by this company (KidKraft) and I feel comfortable in recommending them and their wares highly. I am not good at reading directions or putting things together, but this really was very simple to put together and the instructions were great (easy to follow steps and pictures). The bench is lovely; solid, pretty, roomy. Really a perfect addition to our toddler's room. Great find! Note that while we are using this for our son's toys, it is sturdy and attractive enough to use anywhere in the house - it's not just for kids.

This was exactly what I was looking for in a toy chest. The directions for assembly is one of the best I've ever seen and I've put a LOT of things together! It took about an hour and a 1/2...would have been less time had I had an electric screwdriver. A few people commented on the odor. Yes, there was a distinct paint odor but it disappeared within a week. Not a reason NOT to buy! It was a bit smaller than I thought yet works perfectly in the space I have. It's also a good size for my young grandchildren who can easily take the 'buckets' in and out. A perfect choice for our family.

Not worth the price. We bought two and have the same issue with both. The style is cute and assembly was easy but the materials do not last. The drawers are ok but the frame keeps coming loose on both of our sets. I’m not sure why since the drawers are the parts that get the most use. The screws in the joints (esp for the top panel) no longer seem to tighten completely. The screws feel loose probably because we’ve had to tighten them repeatedly. I tried to stay away from IKEA and now regret it.

I like the weight and build of the product overall. Seems solid, though time will tell. The instructions were easy to follow (easier than an IKEA build), and we didn’t have any issues with missing or incorrect pieces. It took about 30-min to put together, but I was not in a rush. I like the length of the bench, though it could be a little taller. The individual boxes are smaller than your standard organizer box because of this, but still enough to store extra stuffed animals and books. I wanted something to go underneath the window that my son could use to sit on, so it was a good choice for this purpose. Not as large as a toy box though, if you are looking more for that functionality. Overall, I am happy with this product.

The entire product is simply terrible. Not sturdy at all holes were not drilled where they should be and the hardware did not fit the holes as they were too large. I would have returned the product but it was past thirty days. Very expensive item that will be put in the trash.

I bought this to be a stand for my Aerogarden Farm and it worked perfectly. The dimensions are just slightly bigger than the base of the farm so there is no concern with it falling off but also no wasted space. The cubes add a bit of storage for keeping the plant food and other accessories. The white color is also a perfect match to the white farm. It is sturdy and well made.The cubes can be difficult to pull out as they aren’t drawers and there can be a lot of friction, but I added some felt to the bottom of them and now they are easy to pull out.I highly recommend this for anyone with an Aerogarden Farm (or Farm Plus or Farm XL) looking for a stand and storage.

I love this storage bench- we use it as a toy box. I was looking for something that wasn't just a giant box that would turn into a black hole for toys. One that my 18 month old son could get into, without slamming his fingers in, and access his toys. It's not too high up, so we can actually put toys on the top of it for him to play with as well. Even though the wood is thin on the drawers, they seem to be fairly sturdy. The actual bench itself is really sturdy as well. It's attractive and functional. Win, win!
