I was a little skeptical about this when I bought it because I hadn’t used one before. Let me tell you, it works at pet hair removal. I’d never seen so much hair come off of my dog. I have a large breed dog and it’s easy to use it on him. For the wider areas of his body I unhook it and it covers more space. The quality is solid. It’s got a solid handle on it and the metal band is well attached. It’s very easy to clean it. Seriously, run it under some water and the pet hair comes off. Definitely worth the $10 I paid for it.

This item definitely works... However, it is extremely flimsy. This may be a plus side for some people, but for me and my two dogs, it was a negative. I bought this deshedder to replace one I had bought elsewhere after losing it. Now, with my previous one the metal was firm enough that I was able to brush even with the side of it. This was really nice since it gave me larger surface area with dogs that move around. This brush, however, is much to flimsy to be able to do this. The plus side is I don't believe I have to worry about it breaking, but when it can completely bend sideways I don't think that is what I am worried about. All in all, I feel like a deshedding brush should feel stable enough to use constantly. I am not confident that this product can consistently do that. The pricing is the same as what I had previously got and if flexibility of the metal is good for you, wonderful! It's just not the product for me and I wouldn't purchase this one again.
