Monoprice Commercial Audio Wall Mount Music Amplifier - with Bluetooth, Aux, FM, and IR Remote, White

I had a old wall mount stereo from 1994 that was built into the house. It was failing. I think that it was designed for an RV.In any event I decided to try this unit.Due to it's size and other things, I was not expecting much.However once I had it installed and running, I was pleasantly surprised. I had thought that my in ceiling speakers were shot, but this system drives them great. It also has excellent radio reception! I am very highly pleased. I don't think that one could find better at this price point.The Bubba Man likes it! Do recommend!

After reading some of the other reviews, I ordered a 100mm sq case to mount this to. That wasn't perfect, as I had trouble cutting a hole in the lid that the connectors could pass through and still leave enough material to mount it to the lid, but I did make it work. The advantage is I remove the lid of the case and have full access to the radio bits. I don't have to try and pry the cover off to get to the screws.I dug up an old dipole FM antenna and connected it to some 6" car speakers I had laying around. It actually produces decent sound in my shop. It works well with my phone via Bluetooth.I knocked off one star for the remote. It's optical, and there's a small window on the front of the device it has to hit to control the radio. You pretty much have to be right in front of the device with the remote to be able to use it. Some sort of lens or something to give it a wider viewing angle, or an RF based remote would have been nice.All in all I'm pleased. It's small. mostly dust free, and provides decent sound in the shop.

Images show a mount box but it was not included and others have complained about that issue as well. SD card slot is finicky. Tried formatting with exfat NTFS and FAT32 Don't recall which one actually worked. I think it was FAT32. Returned for refund because it should have come as pictured unless it specifically states mounting box not included. "What's in the box" says remote and user manual so even that is not accurate because technically the amplifier is included as well. Sound was ok.

I have a manufactured home that had a built-in stereo system with cassette player. Needed to be updated. Had trouble finding anything until I found this. Simple to install and works great.

Installed the unit and it works very well, just need to get a decent FM antenna and be able to use the radio as well. The installation is another story altogether, we were very close to returning the unit and the box we bought but decided to proceed with the ínstallation. The unit is made in China and so is the wiring box to be used with this device. Since made in China it's not even close to being the right size for wiring. Especially when the wiring is for low voltage and 120-220V line voltage together, which does not meet the electrical code in many states and certainly not the federal code. We bought the Chinese-made box separately but decided not to use it since too small and with no low/line voltage separation. We used a standard two-gang wall box, modified it to fit the screw attachment for the amplifier, and installed a separate wall between the low and line voltage terminals. It worked just fine but took us three times as long to install.

Works better than the previous one I bought, which was $100 more. Sounds great

The amplifier is an excellent sound system for a room's built-in Bluetooth, FM, and AUX sound. I give it four stars because the first one failed within the first 2 years, and I had to buy another one. Otherwise, I love it.

The mounting box was missing the first time. I tried again and the box was missing again. It's right in the picture of the product. How can they forget? It doesn't fit in a normal electrical box so it's not usable without the box that is supposed to come with.
