Exactly what I needed for the motorcycle refresh I'm working on
You have a vintage gravity feed fuel system on that old motorcycle or dirt bike you are bringing back to life? Affter you have cleaned that fuel tank, and cleaned and rebuilt that carb, you know there are tiny pieces of nasty still in there just waiting to clog those now clean jets. You need an inline filter. No that vintage motorcycle rpobably didn't have one, but get something very small that won't restrict the flow. This Visa-Filter fits the bill well. Sure you can paint it black if you want so it doesn't show, but clear you can see that fuel is flowing, and if it starts to trap any sediment so you can change it out. This thing is tiny and little more than a captured fine mesh screen. That will NOT restrict flow and still will grab most nasties that may flow from your tank.

Clear Fuel Filter So You can See the fuel flow!!
I bought this filter to use on my generator so I could monitor fuel flow and any contamination in the fuel tank. It seems rugged enough, but time will tell. It is overpriced!! Red and white ones that are exactly the same size are much cheaper, but you cannot see the fuel flowing through them and you have to disconnect them to check how the fuel is flowing!!!

Good filter & easy to install...once you know which way is "up"
The Visu-Filter line is highly recommended online (for scooters, motorcycles, etc.), and I have little enough experience with such things that I cannot find any fault.Except...There is no indication regarding the proper installation. That is: which direction is the fuel supposed to flow through the filter? I e-mailed the manufacturer and they sent me a diagram...the fuel flows from the smaller-diameter half toward the larger-diameter half. So: (stating it over-simply) the spout from the larger-diameter half should be connected to your carburetor, the spout from the smaller-diameter half connected to your fuel tank.Contrary to some claims made in some of the Visu Filter offerings here on Amazon, the funnel-shaped filter is NOT designed for 3/16 inch (I.D.) fuel lines. Only this disc-shaped model is intended for 3/16 fuel lines. Full info is available on the Visu Filter manufacturer's web site.SO: if you have 3/16 I.D. fuel lines, this is a fine fuel filter.

Nice filters
I got these for my IceBear Champion 125cc.The fuel lines on the bike are 3/16" and the filters fit correctly. No leaks at this time.

Decent filter, but no fuel flow direction arrow
Decent filter, but the manufacturer really needs to print a fuel flow direction arrow on the casing like every other filter out there. There are conflicting instructions in the reviews and questions/answers for this filter. I ended up installing the filter the wrong way and my scooter would not stay running. It was not getting enough gas. After pulling off ALL the hoses again (major PITA) and flipping the filter, everything is working fine now.If you purchase this filter, the larger-diameter half should be connected to your FUEL TANK, and the smaller-diameter half should be connected to the CARBURETOR. A small flow arrow printed on the casing would clear up any confusion, and would have also earned this filter another star!
