Perfect fit!!!
LOVE these jeans! I’m 5’8” 134lbs and got a size 6 (27) which is my normal size in jeans and they fit me like a glove. Very glad I didn’t size up! Got the black color and they are a true black with no grey or blue undertones. They are a tiny bit long but i always cuff my jeans anyway no matter the style so that’s not a huge factor for me. They’re actually high waisted too! They cover my belly button which is how high waisted jeans should fit and it’s hard for me to find that because I have long legs. They are pretty stiff and rigid with very little stretch but that’s exactly what I look for in denim. Very thick material so I know they’ll last me a long time. I’m buying two more pairs! Can’t recommend these enough!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUNS SMALL
first of all i bought high-waisted jeans from american apparel in size 28. I bought this jeans same day i receive tried it was small and couldn't button size28. mind you i paid 37.00 for the jeans i went back its 78.00 within same week of ordering. why should i pay more just to exchange different size , for same style to get a size or 2 up just for it to fit. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. this is price gouging. These companies taking advantage of people because of the world wide panic. I guess they did me a favour . Im going to keep my money in my wallet.Other reviews are right it’s not like old. American apparel. I have highwaisted jeans shorts in 28 and fit so good to my curves although I’m slim. These jeans are bulging Zipper area in the front, loose at waist but fit in the legs perfect. I’m really confused about sizing. I tried 28, 29 , 30 sized. 30 too big and 29 fit except problem above. I compared my older jeans and realize that jeans are no longer made in USA but now in Mexico. And I’ve notice w most jeans made in Mexico tend to be boxy or square like in shape that could explain the fit. They are making base on shape of locals. Because old shape was tailored to American fit . I just returned looked horrible. I’m 5,9 curvy but slim side

Stiff material - can’t even pull over my thighs.
The material is super thick, awesome!, but it’s so thick and stiff that’s it’s uncomfortable. When putting them on, I had the hardest time pulling them up. When I managed to get them on, I could hardly bend over the material was so uncomfortable and stiff to move in.Also, the legs are wayyyy too long. I’m not that small, I’m 5’4”, but the legs go on for milessss. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to be able to move and you have super long legs, this product is for you.Measurements: 23 waist, 5’4”Stars: 3 (trying to be nice)Would not recommend product.

No stretch for a “vintage fit”
Okay, these were promising when I held them up to me. The waist fit perfectly - not too baggy but just baggy enough that they fit an end of the day bloated stomach perfectly. My problem was in the hip area - AA sizing has a weird waist to hip ratio. Because these have zero stretch in them, you have to break them in, which other users reported. If you do size up, size up based on the hip measurements.Since I’m trying to find pants that fit both the waist and hips, and in my case the waist fit perfectly but the hips were too tight, I chose to return these.

Nearly a perfect fit!
As a very petite woman (5'1 ft, 55 kg/121 lbs, 32C), finding a pair of jeans is a hassle. Either the waist fits and the inseam is too long or vice versa. In this case, a size 28 absolutely fit me in the waist. Since these are high-waisted and I am very prone to bloating sometimes, they were comfortable, fitting underneath my ribs. My torso is very short. My waist is about 28 inches and these have the slightest gap at the back of about half an inch. My hips are about 34 inches. So, the inseam of 32 inches was way too long on me. So. I got my fabric tape measure and marked off 28 inches, as this is the inseam that I normally like. With a sharp pair of fabric scissors (the denim is very thick so you need sharp scissors), I got them the correct length! It's a raw hem instead of a finished hem, but I'm happy! The black is a deep peppercorn colour and looks great.

Really solid denim quality, fits kinda tight on the calves
Really impressed with the build of these jeans. My first pair looks excellent after a year of regular wear and washing, bought another pair and it fits just as well. Never shrank in the wash, not worn through anywhere. Just glad they still make jeans without stretch.

Not for everyone
Baggy crotch, they look so bad, I couldn't return them because I washed them hoping they would shrink but no dice so I'm stuck with these too loose baggy crotch jeans I'll never wear.

Great but not for everyone! 😊👖
I bought these jeans in four different colors to get better insight and do an insightful review for those of you who are curious, interested or conflicted on purchasing or not. Considering everyone else’s experience and mine as well, I believe these jeans will only look their best on taller females. 5’7 and up for them to live up to their full potential. These are not jeans that will flatter every body type because they are not stretchy nor shape forming to every curve. These jeans fit the needs to a specific category, not all. But with that being said my personal experience was great! I have long legs, so the length is appreciated as well as the high waisted portion of the jeans. They do fit a bit loose at the waist and just right at my hips/thighs. I’m 5’7 and roughly around 135 pounds. I am usually a size 4 (27) but had ordered a size 28 instead. I recommend ordering a size up and possibly adjusting the waist line with maybe an elastic on the inside, but that’s personal preference. I love the sturdy jean material and would definitely repurchase in the future! Hope this review answers some of the questions consumers like myself may have! Remember that some girls need clothing to fit a certain category and other girls enjoy a wide range of flexibility. Every body is beautiful in it’s very own unique way!
