Rapala Pro Fishing 2012 - Nintendo Wii U

I don't have patience for real fishing, but have always been attracted to fishing games. I saw this here on Amazon for a really decent price and decided to bite(pun intended). At first I had trouble figuring out the controls and was getting frustrated and ready to give up and toss it aside. But I stuck with it for a while longer and figured it out, and its actually pretty easy. I was soon catching fish left & right.This game has nice graphics and lots of great looking locations to fish, although some locations must be unlocked by obtaining certain achievements. Also tons of rods, reels and lures and other equipment including "Live" bait.I like the way you use the Wii U control pad as your rod & reel, and also your tackle box. Also works as a fish finder and not to mention you use it as a steering wheel for your boat.Just as in real life, it can sometimes be frustrating as the "Big One" gets away or junk fish steal your bait. But that just ads to the realism.I only rate it a 4 stars instead of 5, because like in real life, fishing can often get real boring when their not bitin'.

I bought this to use on the Wii u but so far I am kind of disappointed. I am not disappointed at the HD and the way the game looks or the ease of catching the fish. What I am disappointed at is that it seems like no matter what I catch or how many or if someone caught more than I did, I always seem to win the tournament. I am not thrilled about that, because it gives no incentive. I don't have to work hard at catching the biggest fish or the most because no matter what I will win anyway. At least that is what I think is happening. I will have to play it a few more times to be sure. All in all it is a fun fishing game. You get to ride a boat to different spots to fish in. You will like it. When I have played more games I will update any changes that I find.

My grandson likes it but we think there needs to be a new updated version.

This is fun, but your arms get tired...oofta! Good arm workout!Other than that, I don't know much about fishing equipment and what to choose to get a certain fish so… I'm not doing well at the moment. But it sure is fun to catch fish!

This game is a lot of fun! At first, it looked like it might be too technical. But before long, my 6 year old and fiance were taking turns fishing and loved it!

Enjoy fishing? This is by far one of the best fishing games I have played, Really enjoy this one! Graphics are good and no problems playing!

Boring. Graphics are ok. Gameplay is slightly difficult to learn. If you're a big fishing fan you might like it more, not for the casual gamer. Kids didn't enjoy it for more than a couple hours. Gave it a try to diversify the game collection along with a hunting game but neither seemed to be worth the time.

Very good entertainment. There is a lot to it if you really want to do it right, or you can just fish and enjoy!
