This is a very cute set with lots of material and tools. My 10 year old is just starting to needle felt and this is a great starter set. She has no compaints or requests for anything beyond what is in this box. It;s a nice one-stop beginner set to help them get the hang of it and not a huge investment for a new hobby. I also love that it came in a case, all nice and contained.

Just what is needed for a beginner for this craft

I'm not one to do reviews but since I enjoy needlefelting and sell things made through it, I feel it's only wise to do this. Overall, it's not horrible, could be far worse. The amount of roving helps as all these kits always only sell the little baggies; no kit i've bought has ever done more than just little baggies. SO that was expected and some of the wool is swirled with other colors so there's a nicer variety. It has the items you need if you are starting out, such as the needles, the shears, the foam pad to felt on top of, the thumb protectors, and it does give you some instructions. Outside of that, here's the issues. There is a strong and strange odor coming from the entire thing. I don't know what it is or what the source is, but there is a strange smell that might give some people a headache; it might air out hopefully. the thumb protectors are together, which in every other kit I've gotten they are never attached. So to my knowledge, that's a factory mishap. The shears/scissors are damaged as reviews say. They blades are more bent but somehow they do close. I still have a set of shears and i read reviews and purchased this as the shears weren't the big reason I wanted this. Like in a review I saw as well, the needles do have a weird grimy feel to them. This seems to be the normal from what I've observed when buying needles. Which isn't fun as you need to wipe them down as the first ever needlefelt kit I had, didn't have this issue; sadly I don't remember what that one was other than it did come to amazon but according to my sister who bought it, seems to have been removed. There's a bag that is just a mismash of all the things offered and some things I didn't even see. It's a bit hard to know what it all is besides some different options for eyes, some loose bells, keychain attachments, and i'm not sure what else. The things in this bag though feel weird and have a stronger smell to them as well. The box that holds everything is already bursting at the seams, so it's not gonna close properly sadly. Which is a shame as I do like the box. Overall, I don't hate it. I read reviews that warned about certain things and still did it but keep in mind, i purchased this while it was on sale and I'm glad I did. As I wouldn't like this for a higher price, with how it is, I feel that despite all the extra items that I wanted being in it, it should probably be priced lower due to the quality issues. I bought this kit for the wool roving; as I always need that, the pins as I want to try and make some, the keychain bits, the holder for the needle, the styro-foam mat thing, and possibly the pliers. The other things were just the extra bits I was willing to try and use potentially and if I don't, then that's fine. Overall, it's not horrible. Could be a little better.

This makes a perfect gift to the crafty person in your life. Also great for trying out a new DIY project. The kit came with a variety of colors but not enough to make anything large before you ran out of that color. Once you use up the colors and buy more wool (best in bulk) you will run out of space in the carry case quickly and make it obsolete for felting purposes.

This is a perfect kit with EVERYTHING you need to get started other than instructions. I should know because a year ago, I learned to felt and I bought a kit that had basically nothing that I needed if I wanted my hands to be comfortable enough for more than one project. This kit won’t teach you how to felt, but there are plenty of great tutorials online, and an awesome beginners book included in Kindle Unlimited. The selection of wool and tools is perfect. I re-sorted my wool by color and that has made it much easier for me to choose colors for gradients. The main tools are hearty and include one step up from the basics.

This is the perfect felting kit for a beginner that wants to learn how to do just about anything with wool. It comes with several colors and several extra felting needles as well as a few extra items I will be able to play with. I’ve made a few needle felting rugs for my newborn photography business and I’m now making needle felted hearts and bears and stuff like that. This is perfect for me. Trust me when I say the styrofoam is a necessity! I’m glad they include it! Don’t throw it away! It isn’t there just to take up space, you will save your hands, lap and needles by placing it under your project for the felting needle to push the wool through.

I gave this as a present and they were thrilled. It has everything a beginner would need and more. Great value.

Aunque es un kit muy básico esta muy completo, trae poca cantidad de lana pero para comenzar con algun proyecto chiquito es mas que suficiente
