DREAMSTITCH 40986 1/4 inch 1/8 inch 3/16 inch Low Shank Welting Presser Foot for Babylock,Brother,Janome,Kenmore,Pfaff,Simplicity,Singer Sewing Machine 40986(E)

I had to file it wider to fit my machine I wish to buy a one sided cording foot with a wider throat at the mount this is on the early deluxe univeral Japaneese machine 1930s Era

The media could not be loaded.  Using these for my Singer Heavy Duty 4423 machine. These look like they'd be amazing, BUT! The opening for the needle to pass through is just too far left. The needle ends up hitting the right side of the hole just enough that the needle bends inward slightly. I tried tightening the foot into the shank as much as I could in hopes of scooting it in just enough, but I didn't work. I'll have to drill a larger opening for this to work without damaging my machine.

Creating piping is a breeze. Fit my Singer 4432 without issues and fabric/cord flows smoothly.While easy to install, removing the mid-sized presser foot is a tad of a struggle due to the snugger fit compared to the other two accompanying feet. Also noticed the holes in each rest just a smidgen off from the same needle position so take note before you start sewing.

These presser feet had a very tiny hole for the machine needle to pass through. My Janome hd3000 needle was actually rubbing and would easily break off. My boyfriend drilled out the hole with a 3/16 drill bit. As you can see in the picture the hole is bigger and actually allows me to position the needle exactly where I want it! It was easy to drill out because it it is cheap soft metal. As you can see on the lable, it says.."HIGH QTY SEWSING" Just lousy spelling!Well thanks to a little design modification it works very well!

I had never made welting for upholstery. With these, I am making yards and yards of piping with absolute ease. Sturdy, accurate, inexpensive, and indispensible. Love this. A best buy!

I had made some pillows with piping using my zipper foot on my BabyLock. The1/4" piping I made with this foot was very superior. When I put the pillow together it kept all the layers of material aligned and really guided the seam along. Piping and cover after cutting the material took less than an hour. I was using medium to heavy upholstery fabric.

Didn’t really think I would use them as much. They have worked perfectly for two different projects so far.

This sewing machine foot fit properly and worked well. Would recommend.
