Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice

I would recommend this book for all nurses looking to expand their understanding of the standards of practice for nursing. I would have enjoyed a little more detail in the explanation of how to achieve these standards, but there were ways listed. Great for nurses just starting out and for those who are furthering their education and understanding.

Very easy to read, elementary and would suit the basic Nursing 101 course. Since it was required for the class, of course I purchased it and will use it for such. Being a nurse for 30+ years, it is very repetitive to me however the information is valid and a good refresher.

If you are a registered nurse and you don't own this text, buy it today! Every nurse should be knowledgeable about his/her scope of practice. When I originally read this text as a new nurse I did not fully understand or appreciate the information. This text reveals the evolving changes in nursing. I am empowered and proud when I now (as an experienced nurse) devour the text for all its worth.

I used to look at the standards as a pdf or online. Having the book made it so much easier.

This book was required for Leadership and Management (BSN). It is good for all nurses to know the information contained in this book and handy to cite in research papers. I bought all my school books from Amazon because it is cheaper than the school book store. Delivery may be a little longer so don't wait until the last minute.

The book was supposed to be brand new but it arrived with the corner of the front cover cut and the package that it arrived in was also cut and opened when the package arrived. Other than that, the book arrived on time and I can still use it.

You have to have this for Nursing School. It's only printed by the ANA. Get it where you can get it the cheapest.

Actually, this book which I bought for a course turned out a good read.
