Perfect replacement
Works like a charm. Perfect fit and replacement for Ford OEM switch on 2005 Ranger.

It used to be called the neutral safety switch.
The part works great, there's nothing to dislike about it because it's just a two bolt installation. Real easy to install. I researched some YouTube videos which was great but what they don't tell you is that after installation that you have to drive the vehicle at a low speed for about 20 minutes so that the main computer can realize that the new part is install and reset itself to normal.

Fixed my stiff shifter problem.
This Dorman transmission range sensor fixed the problems I was having with my 2007 Ford Ranger. My shifter was getting very stiff and sometimes didn’t seem to click into each detent. Sometimes it was difficult to put into park. I tried removing the old sensor and ended up having to break the unit off. The steel shift shaft coming out of the transmission had rusted inside the white plastic ring causing it to swell and wear on the sensors black plastic housing. This is what was causing the shifter to be stiff. After I cut the white plastic ring off the shift shaft I used a wire wheel on a drill to clean up the rust. Prior to doing this I couldn’t even get the new sensor on. Afterwards the sensor slid right on. Once bolted on and everything was hooked up the truck was shifting like new. Great fix at a great price.

Works fine but it wasn't my issue so my hunt continues for the culprit.

Worked great!
Replaced the original one that came with the car. It used to start in every gear which shouldn't happen. The sensor was always reading park. As a result it also wouldn't let the car shift past 1st gear. After replacing it with this one it starts in park and neutral and shifts as it should. Would buy again if needed

Transmission Range Sensor
I ordered this for my restoration project a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It arrived on time and as described. This was a direct fit replacement, installation took approximately 15 mins and best of all the DTC code was cleared.I'm pleased with it and recommend it!
