This book gives great training and helps you in various painting skills. Worth every penny

I have mixed feelings about the Walter Foster books. They have been around for years and know what they are doing. The quality is the best ever with good, high-gloss reproductions, and great content - materials, composition, step-by-step instructions, etc. But some of the artists and artwork included are just not my style and are too complex for the average beginner or advanced beginner. But there are some real gems in here of artists I like with doable instructions. There is enough in here to be very useful.

I didn’t like how faint the ink was on some of the images. In my opinion, the spaces weren’t clearly defined.

Just excellent in every way. A used book in very good condition, as advertised and with great information and guidance on Acrylic Painting!

Very easy to read the explanations, and the many color photos inspired me to attempt my own version of their pictures.

I got it before my due date I really like this book it gives you some great ideas for clouds and skys and ocean waves . I use it for a reference book for sketching . Great book for any collection

A few good ideas, hints and tips that I will certainly use in the development of my work. I like more in-depth breakdowns of techniques from an individual artist. I just wanted more as some of the illustrations were mediocre.
