Looks just like a bronze metal street lamp from the late 1800’s.
When I received the delivery I was surprised the box was so small as I was expecting a pole light almost 8 feet tall when top fixture added. However, when I opened the box it was clear the tall post came in three sections that thread together. This may sound a little flimsy, but these sections are 3” or more in diameter and the threaded ends screw together in a way that completely hides the threads. Once installed it looks exactly a single piece bronze metal lamp post and was very sturdy. The lamp base also includes three “L” shaped threaded anchor bolts and a metal template to hold the three anchors in the correct position during their insertion into just poured concrete base. Once the concrete is set, the metal template can be removed and the three bolts sticking up out of the concrete are in the correct position and height to match the bolt holes in the lamp post base. Of course if your concrete foundation for the lamp post was like mine and poured last year, these included anchor bolts won’t work so, just discard the supplied anchors and use the metal template to locate and drill the three holes using a hammer drill, then insert three standard 5/16” anchor bolts. I found the resulting lamp base installation to be rock solid and looks great. I separately ordered the lamp top which included a photocell on/off control and it fit down over the lamp post top section, and held in place with three screws. There are several different lamp tops available having different shapes, and are all designed to fit this lamp post. We are very pleased seeing this lamp post lighting our way up our front walk on a dark night!

Good Sturdy Lamp Post
This lamp post is attractive and sturdy. Cast in aluminium it comes in five pieces that thread together very well. The top piece may not be needed for lamp fixtures needing a 2" vs. the 3" fitting. This is the third one I've gotten and never have I had an issue. Installation is relatively easy depending upon how it's done. I've installed one on concrete and couldn't use the supplied J-bolts, instead using concrete anchors using the triangular plate supplied as a template. On the other install I had to embed bolts in wet concrete but this was as easy. Seriously, the hardest part was mixing the concrete. Once the bolts were secured (anchor bolts and concrete set) I used three nuts on the bolts, washers, and then the metal plate and another three washers and bolts above. I used these to adjust the level of the metal plate. Once leveled and tightened, the base flare slipped over the bolts and was fixed down with acorn nuts. The post came with acorn nuts but they didn't seem to fit the 3/8" threaded rod I used with the concrete anchors. The installed posts look great in my lawn even without the grass yet around them. I noticed that the threaded portion of the lower piece was 3" which happened to be the size needed by the lamp fixture I used. This works well for a spot where I don't want the whole height of the post but still want matching bases.

Just as described, beautiful lamp post
This post was exactly what we needed to go with the lamp head we purchased separately. They fit together perfectly. The post is a good quality cast aluminum. My husband used three long stakes to secure it in the ground via the holes in the base and it seems very sturdy.

Well Made Product
This appears to be a zinc die caste design. Unit ships in four pieces (base/lower mid-section/upper mid-section/top cap) and screws together easily with no threading issues. I was looking for a post design that mounted to a concrete surface and found this unit. Most post systems I found are in-ground mounted (dig a hole and secure by pouring cement around the post) but I needed something that would install to an already poured concrete surface. The system comes with three J-hooks that should be installed prior to pouring your concrete. Installation kit also includes all necessary bolts, washers and lock washers needed. Manufacturer also includes a metal template that aligns the j-hooks and is used to locate the exact position of the mounts. However, if you already poured your concrete you can use the same template and purchase three tap-con concrete anchors (or similar) and this also works great to secure the post. The traditional design is great for almost any style home and the zinc die cast parts and finish mean this unit will last a very long time.

Love this post!
I wanted to run a light into my front yard. I found the light, but needed a post. I saw this one on Amazon. It gad good reviews, so I thought I’d try it. The only issue was the light had a transformer that would not fit. I had to remove the top section, but otherwise, it works well. I like the way it worked out and love the look.
