Best belt!

A little disappointing. I am in the process of creating my own rig. Where I live, there is a 3-store, family owned chain called Berlands House of Tools. They carry a very large selection of Occidental products. I recently purchased a 2" Occidental belt for my rig from the store. (The rig is a mix of products). I was so happy with the 2" belt for my rig, that I decided to get a 1.5" Occidental belt for my summer cargo shorts. The 2" will not fit in the loops, and as I just upgraded my phone to a bigger, heavier one, the old belt was just twisting.I tried to get my local guys to order me a belt, but they said it would be 9 weeks, and they did not stock it. I assumed it would be the same thickness as the 2" belt. It is not. In the picture, the top belt is the 2" rig belt, the lower belt is the 1.5" belt for my cargo shorts. I will keep it, but I was really hoping for a very thick belt, that was not too wide for my cargo shorts.

But, I've worn this belt for 3 weeks, 12-15 hours a day. I sweat A LOT when I am using my chainsaw and chopping wood. I have not had it bleed red onto my jeans or shorts once. I think the other reviewers just wear cheap, or too thin of pants while working.Update: Over 1500 hours of wear, about 10 hours everday for the last 5 months, and this thing is still in perfect condition. I have been poking new holes with a scratch awl as I get slimmer, but not even those holes weaken the belt at all. I think a lot of it is due to the roller on the buckle protecting the most vulnerable part of the belt from unnecessary fruction. For $40, this is the most return on an investment I have ever had.

With that said this belt that I’m commenting on is a great belt however this is not a belt to be worn in the summer. Sweat and this belt do not mix. The die in the leather will bleed out into your pants. From that point on you kind of have to wear a belt because your pants will have a red waist which does not come out in the wash. I myself do not always wear a belt but now I’m forced to because my pants are ruined.

Since this belt arrived, I’ve used it daily! Both for work and non-work purposes. For work, I also have a belt clip for a utility pouch and the belt is holding up great. I’ve gone through other belts that have claimed to be 100% leather and for hardworking purposes. This one has more than proved it’s worth!The only adjustment I had to make was that when it’s brand new, the red dye leached onto my pants. But it seems to have washed off.Other than that, you are definitely getting your moneys’ worth.

Nice belt

Best belt i have ever owned. Classic looking too. I've worn it everyday for about 4 months. One thing to keep in mind is that will bleed some of the dye if you sweat a lot like me. And it doesn't wash out, but its only visible where the belt sits on the pants, so its covered up if you are wearing the belt.I hang a small pouch off it some days that can vary in weight depending on what tools are in it that day, and this belt will hold its own under that weight, no twisting or folding at all. That was one of the things i had been searching for, for a long time.

I've been wearing this belt everyday at work for couple years now. It's still got lots of life left in it.

As described,but a little higher$ than most,oh well!?!

Love the belt but it ended up dying multiple pairs of pants until the dye was washed out. Be warned.

good quality..........exactly what I need

Works very well as an everyday belt. Feels like a well made product, and leather seems to be of a high quality. The 1.5 inch model fits in the belt loops of my Levis perfectly.
