Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro Smartphone, 6 GB + 64 GB, Blu (Ocean Blue)

I am a tough critic of phones as I have owned phones of every major brand in the United States (iOS and Droid). I have also owned lesser known phones, like Blu and Huawei. I tend to lose them so I stopped dropping nearly $1000 on flagship phones. There are many mid-range phones on the market, but they are usually too watered down and lack in quality.I had noticed the Xiaomi brand from Amazon shopping, and had been reading for about a year. The reviews are always consistant very good to excellent. I finally bought a budget level Xiaomi ($225 Redmi Note 8 Pro) and I must say this is the very best value for money spent on any phone. It looks, feels, and behaves at flagship levels and has impressive specs. The hardware is solid and feels better than Samsung, and has build quality at the level of Apple's iPhone.Aside from the hardware, the operating system and accompanying software is freaking awesome. Xiaomi's geeks refined and polished already good Android 9.0 into MIUI-the best mobile os I have ever interfaced. The revisions make Android flow into the ultimate user-friendly experience!In today's market there are so many choices from so many brands of mobile phones. I was naturally skeptical of this one (Xiaomi) because I needed a good, solid phone and lacked trust in this mostly unknown foreign brand. As a hard-working individual this product and brand has exceed my expectations so much to even compel me to write a review. Buy this brand.....you will be glad you did! For once I feel like I bought a top product at an impressive price tag.UPDATE:. Three months owning and using this phone my opinion is same as initial review: Xiaomi Note 8 Pro is one hell of a phone. I dropoed this phone from a second story balcony (by accident and included clear case was on), the phone landed face up on concrete and bounced back to concrete-still works fine and glass screen did not shatter. I'm still amazed. You will be impressed just as I am.Six month update: my review stays firm for this Xiaomi phone. Great phone at a great price. Battery life remains in tact without any issues. The screen remains without any chips or cracks-, which is impressive! B I drop it at least a couple of times per week; I have never not have to replace the screen by month six or stare at a cracked screen. G. Glass five finally lives up to Corning's claim. Great phone for any budget.

i have a lot to said about this phone, but not to much space, is the best phone i ever had, price is good , when i received it was sealed everything original and it works any where including Mexico!! battery last about 30 hours!!! no joke! it has many hiding features, like 2nd space, memory ram is perfect!!! it allows you to change the fonts, the theme system without any launched app, it has anti virus system, so you can clean any additional space or opens apps you are not using, it has a SOS function, you add your best contact info and with a click on the volume they automatically send them a SMS with the location, sleep mode for those that don't want to receive any text or fb notifications, it allows you to schedule it, you wont receive any noise except your starred (important calls) it has enterprise mode, this feature is awesome if you assign this phone for job related purpose any ways it allow you to hide applications, hope i don't get in trouble but if you are cheating this is the phone for you!! is prefect for gamers, any ways a lot more to say yall should get it!!! i dont know why people go by the popular brands, like apple or Samsung they are so expensive, and they keep updating phone every year with the same system but the price is expensive... people, get a Xiomi Redmi you wont regret it!!!!!!!

This phone is awesome! I am an Apple person but I need a phone to run some apps that are not available in the Apple store, specially emulators.This phone is super fast. Ok, I only had an old Galaxy Note 5 and a new Samsung a20s but they are beaten bad. I can run my PSP emulator in full speed without slow downs. The Antutu benchmark is like 292510! That is very high, specially for the price.It comes with a nice transparent case!It looks really tough and very beautiful in the back. Has 64GB of internal memory and you can use an SDHC card as internal or removable memory. It also has 6GB of RAM, which is probably more than enough for anything you may want to run, and 2 of the 8 cores are super fast ARM A76, plus 6 x A55, instead of old slow cores. Eight cores means nothing if its 8 slow cores. This one has 2 super fast + 6 just fast.I removed most Apps that came with the phone and installed my favorites. No issue with that.It was also easy to setup for T-Mobile US, just had to select a predefined network profile. Working fine with LTE in Texas.The wall charger came with Brazilian plug! But the store sent an adapter. I have like 10 cell phone/tablet USB wall chargers so that is not a problem.If you are looking for performance x price that's probably the best deal now.

Been using this since I bought it over a year ago, maybe two years by now.This year the battery life has gone to hell. But in the beginning it was amazing. The speed has slowed down a little, but it isn't horrible.I've dropped this phone a lot, I've drowned it twice, I've used it in the shower, I've left it in hot cars, I've accidently burried it in snow...And the only problems are it's slowed down 10%, the battery is meh, and the keyboard correctness is a little off after ALL my abuse... it's worth the money

Not really but you don't need more than 4GB Ram and this CPU is more than enough for the latest android. Ads can be turned off with settings and overall this is a great budget current gen phone. I upgraded to this from a Note 5 and I am so happy I did. Consider all you options before you go brand name and spend nearly a grand on a phone. Xiaomi is a good brand and affordable. One con is the LCD screen. I have one hairline fracture on it now but I also don't run a phone case since it's good enough as is imo. Also, the camera isn't too big of a step up from what I had but take into consideration if you want to take good pictures then just get a DSLR. Very happy. Next upgrade I'll consider Xiaomi first.

Muy buen celular, tiene buen rendimiento, buena cámara, buena batería. Su desempeño ha sido óptimo.Sin embargo, después de varios meses de uso comienza a fallar en micrófono del altavoz, yo usaba mucho la grabadora de voz y no sé si se deba a eso, todo lo demás funciona correctamente.

El móvil en sí es una máquina en todo,y por este precio no creo que encontréis nada que le iguale,si vienes de otra marca cuesta un poco adaptarse a MIU.Estuve media hora intentando configurar como responder llamadas ya que solo sonaba no dejaba responder.Respecto al vendedor, no puedo opinar lo compré en uno que era prime el sábado,y el domingo lo cambiaron a otro vendedor que no era prime,por lo que el móvil me terminó llegando el martes

Dopo averlo provato per alcuni giorni, posso affermare che lo smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro è un ottimo prodotto, anche per il prezzo abbastanza contenuto. Unico neo la mancanza di accessori nella confezione vendita, in primis gli auricolari. Il prodotto è arrivato prima della data fissata in una eccellente confezione da viaggio. Da consigliare.

I love this phone, great photos, awesome battery life , runs games perfect, only thing is with the latest updates you need to force a few apps to stay open in the background as otherwise it closes them and you don't get messages/notifications until you re open the app
