This sharpener is great for a number of reasons. I love that it is compact, lightweight and portable (when using 4 AA batteries, not included). We have been using it with the wall adapter. I’ve never seen a sharpener with 3 different sharpness selection like this one - it has a slider switch where you can choose blunt, medium or sharp. I personally like my pencils extremely sharp so I like the sharp setting. Some of my kids prefer their pencils a bit less sharp with the medium setting. This sharpener is super easy to use and cleans well. I’m hoping it lasts a long time. So far we are super pleased.

I love how it instantly stops when the pencil is sharp. It may only run for a second or two, but has never disappointed in the sharpness of the lead. Saves money by not needlessly grinding down the pencil.

I like the white clean look of this and its small but workable size. Also has 3 sharpening settings which is a GREAT feature when sharpening colored pencils. It sharpens well, it's a little fiddly as it stops frequently and you can check and restart if needed. This is actually a good thing for not eating colored pencils too fast. The bottom lid for the battery compartment doesn't feel very secure, the tabs to put in the slots are small and thin and I'm afraid they will break off so docking one star for this. It doesn't close quite flush with the bottom when the batteries are in which adds pressure on the closing tabs. It also rocks a bit because the 4 rubber pads on the bottom aren't even. It comes with an electric cord that also has a usb which is very nice. It's easy to clean out . Overall I'm very happy with this and recommend it. The price is excellent compared to others. There is a small button on the bottom which I can't figure out what it's for as there are no instructions that came with it, maybe some kind of release button, not sure.

With 2 school aged and artistic kids at home, we were tired of losing manual pencil sharpeners all the time, so it was time to invest in an electric sharpener. I love that it's both AC or battery-powered (though we keep it plugged in so it doesn't get lost) and so far has worked great for graphite pencils and colored pencils, creating sharp points very quickly. I also like that the shavings are contained.

The media could not be loaded. Great pencil sharpener! At first I thought it wasn’t working well but that was my fault. It would stop sharpening as inserted the pencil but I found that you need to apply Diem pressure to the pencil and the machine will sharpen it and stop by itself when it is complete. I I bought this because we are homeschooling now and going through batteries with our other sharpener. This one does both batteries and plug. My favorite part though is the slide cap that closes when you are not using it. I have a baby who touches everything and this securely keeps her from putting her fingers in the sharpener.

It works as well as a cheap sharpener would. Exactly what I should have gotten for the money.It runs a little rough, but cuts smoothly. It does just have the one blade, of course. It is a little confusing to tell the difference between not working smoothly and stopping when the pencil is sharp. There is a certain push pressure at which it works best. It does run off the laptop just fine. Durability unknown at this time. Only "standard" size pencil as it said it was. I'm not sure if it is "heavy duty" or not. As a teacher, I would probably purchase a two-blader for a classroom, but for home use...okay.

Worth every penny! I have always preferred writing with pencils and don't like mechanical pencils. I use Ticonderogas with it and the function is the best I have ever had. Make sure the setting is correct b efore using. Comes with wall adaptor, but you can also use batteries. Small footprint is perfect for my work space. Not overly loud.

At first I was very satisfied with the product, but not too long into using the sharpener, a tip of a pencil broke off inside. I have tried relentlessly to get it out. Eject button is useless and trying to get inside the blade is seemingly impossible. I am highly disappointed. I usually use a $0.99 sharpener but decided to upgrade for quicker sharpening. Now there is no way to obtain a sharp point, which is exactly the point of a sharpener. Due to pandemic, I didn't care to go thru the return process in hopes of finding a solution and now it is too late. If there is someone who can assist me in removing the broken tip, I would change my review, since initially it WAS operating smoothly, but no one has cared to respond to my initial inquiry besides another disappointed buyer. I do not recommend purchasing this sharpener.
