Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2 Folding Pocket Knife, CombinationEdge

This Byrd line from Spyderco is an excellent example of affordable quality. Very well made and not so expensive you lose sleep over incidental wear and tear. They are also superb platforms for hand engraving.

This knife is from Spyderco's less-expensive Byrd line and is a good buy for everyday carry, in my opinion. I had the version of this knife with a polymer handle for a long time and lost it. I replaced it with this all-stainless version. It's solid and tightly put together, and quite sharp out of the box. It is noticeably heavier than the one I lost, and at first, the blade operation was pretty resistant, especially releasing the lockback mechanism to close it. After a week or so, it became easier to open and close, and I'm very happy with it. I hope I don't lose it.

I have been on A Knife buying Spree lately and I was never Fond of the way spyderco knifes looked. Thought they seemed Clunky and thick and that the base of the blade protruded to far from the base of the knife. But when I bought the Cara Cara 2. I didn’t know what to expect. But this knife is a total package. Comes right out of the Box Razor sharp. No blade play, Perfect Lock back locking mechanism. Pros: This knife is worth every penny. This is the Spyderco budget knife that has the quality of a higher priced Sypderco. Cons: It’s a little hard to open with one hand as they say Spydy Flick. But don’t let that deter you. Overall A truly well made knife and this was a present to myself for 10 months of Clean and Sober.

Very nice stainless steel knife for under $30. The blade release is tight every once in a while but I am happy with this knife. it is sharp and can take a beating. I just bought another one.

I love this little knife, and although I lose one every few years because it falls out of my pocket or whatever I'm carrying it in, it's never the knife's fault, so I always buy an identical new one. It's slim but substantial in your hand, and maintains an edge for quite a while. I have only one complaint, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why it comes with the clip on the side and end of the knife that it does. Anyone who's ever actually used the clip on a pocket or would have to realize that the knife is "upside down" in your hand, if you clip it on yourself right out of the box. A Torx #6 makes short work of it, however, and you can then put it on correctly in about two minutes. (Most of that time will likely be spent looking for your Torx set.) Other than that, great knife. And I'm sure I'll be buying it again, one day.

Best knife ive purchased

It’s a solid knife with a good grip and good size, doesn’t say spyderco anywhere on it and it’s made in china but it seems to be decent so far, it’s heavy but not overly so. Almost forgot but the metal scales on it do scratch pretty easily but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

Me gusta mucho el filo de esta navaja, su diseño y el material de que está hecho. Se siente muy bien en la mano y la construcción es de calidad. Byrd que es la división barata de spyderco no escatima en un producto de calidad. No le doy 5 estrellas por algunos defectos que se ven en las fotos.
