There are positives and negatives for this light.The Positives: The light is absolutely beautiful. It really is a statement piece that will add a fun and modern element to your room.The lamp is very well made and sturdy. The base may be about 10 pounds so it's not going to be easily tipped. It was super easy to put together. The lamp pole is 3 pieces that screw together to create the pole that screws to the base. The pole is solid iron that attaches sturdy with no leaning. The 3 lamp shades are thin, brown tinted glass cylendars that are beautiful. It comes with very cool brown tinted Edison lightbulbs that really add to the effect of the light.The lamp was packed very well for shipping. Outside cardboard box, then an an inner styrofoam container with instructions on top on how to unpack the lamp shades to ensure you don't break them while unpacking.The Negatives: The light doesn't give off much light. If you are purchasing this lamp for an additional light source in your room it's not going to be enough. It's akin to the light above your stove. The light you turn on so you don't walk into a completely dark house. It's not going to give enough light in the room to see much of anything. I changed the lightbulbs to bright white LED bulbs which made it better but it's still not 'light the whole room bright'. You will need another light source for your room.The cables of the lamp shades do swing on the cables. If bumped they will swing and hit the lamp pole and they could break, so while the lamp does not tip easily, if it's hit or bumped it will cause the cables to swing and the shades to hit the pole. From reading the answers from the manufacturer, they don't replace just the lampshades.So all in all the light is beautiful, well made and definitely worth the money. If you'd like a statement piece that will add a small amount of light to your room, get this light. It will create a calm relaxing mood.If your looking for a bright light to light your room, you may want to pass.

This is a stylish product and very easy to assemble (it took me 15 min max, all by myself). It comes packaged really well, too. The heads are adjustable only up-and-down, though this is not a problem for me. The lighting is not bright; it adds the perfect evening mood I was looking for in my living room, and it’s a light I can keep on that doesn’t shine bright through the cracks of my kids’ bedroom doors (so they stay asleep—major plus). This light also works with my wall switch, so I don’t have to bend down or step on the cord-clicker-thing. I just tap the wall switch, which is much more convenient for me. The fixture comes with light bulbs, which work nicely and, again, cast a nice mellow light. Don’t get my wrong: the light isn’t dull; it illuminates it’s immediate surroundings just fine. It’s not as powerful as our overhead lighting, which is too bright and disturbs the kids’ sleep, even with their doors closed (they look for any signs that I’m awake to get out of their beds!). Anyway, for my family this is the perfect floor lamp and I highly recommend it.

*Update* I decided to request an exchange to see if the wiring issue was a fluke. I found the second lamp even easier to put together, since I knew what I was doing from the first time around. The lamp is extremely sturdy & I have zero concerns about wobbling or falling over. The glass cylinders are a gorgeous antique soft yellow color & the glow from the Edison bulbs (that are included) is beautiful. There are no problems with the wiring on this second lamp & I'm so happy I chose the exchange.*Original review*The lamp was extremely easy to put together & the base is very heavy duty. My issue is the wiring on one of the arms that is hanging & exposing the wiring. I won't try plugging it in because of this. I'm disappointed because it was well packed & the glass cylinders are a gorgeous color.

Pros: Lamp is very, very easy to assemble. Everything you need is included in the box. It is a decent height. Aesthetically, it is very pleasing and can go well with both modern and retro interior. Gives off a pleasant, warm glow. Despite being uncovered, the light from the bulbs is far from harsh and are not bothersome at all, either directly or in the peripheral vision.Cons: Bulbs are limited to an up/down swivel motion only; the entire lamp needs to be rotated in order to direct the light to the desired location. While the bulbs provide a nice ambiance, they are not exceptionally bright nor do they illuminate much outside of their angled position. For example, a bulb tilted to a ~ 80-degree angle illuminates above and below it well, but the wall less than half a foot from it remains dark and shadowed.Final: The lamp is nice but the high price point is commanded by its design, not its function as a device emitting light.

Beautiful lamp. I just moved and am taking advantage of the industrial look of my loft, and needed a lamp that: would hold bulbs that give full spectrum light for my plants, be aesthetically pleasing, and provide decent lighting at night. This lamp fit the bill perfectly.The height is nice and base is sturdy. Assembly was easy, no tools required. The shaft of the lamp is three separate pieces which have threading and screw onto each other. The cage for each light bulb is attached by holding it against the circular flange around the socket, and then screwing on the round piece (you’ll see what I’m talking about when you unpack everything) within the cage until flush against the base, this is what secures it.It came with three light bulbs but I opted for a set of bulbs with the compatible A26 screw base, and 60W / 4000K temperature (to provide natural light). When lit at night, it throws a really pretty pattern of light and shadow (I took a picture to show this).All in all, I’m very happy with the look of this lamp and had no issues putting it together and no problems with it working as it should. Definitely recommend it for anyone considering it.
