iConnectivity Interface with 8 in x 12 Out 5-pin DIN-MIDI Ports (mioXL)

i have a complex midi analog synths and hybrid daw setup. i’ve had some kind of blockage or inconvenience with every other solution i’ve tried until getting this interface and no everything is seamless and simple. will never look back!

I purchased this MIDI hub because my old MOTU Micro Express still does not work with Mac OSX Big Sur. Everything works flawless and is really easy to set up, both in the context of a computer/DAW setup, as well as stand alone with a drum machine setting the clock. USB hubs can be tricky, and as a result I had much of my modern gear hooked up via DIN, no longer. The USB host with 8 ports on this device is saving me a lot of cables. The device comes with an external power supply (slight minus) that takes both 110V and 220V. Highly recommended.

I would love to write a (positive) review about this device's functionality, however the power supply is absolutely unreliable -- it takes a bit of work to get it seated "just right" in the outlet (have tried many), and any slight movement will cut power to the device. I can't use this in any sort of professional environment, especially in one so dynamic as gigs at different venues.

This product is built like a truck and runs like a Bentley. I'm a tinkerer and this thing is much fun to use as making music... (almost) Getcha one!

This unit allows me to talk to quite a few MIDI equipment units very quickly. Great MIDI IF

I was the happy owner of a MioXM but decided to move to a rack setup and so sold it and bought the XL. You'd think they'd be pretty much the same but no; this thing is just endless issues. Despite deleting the device on my Mac MIDI setup multiple times, it always recreates with the wrong set of device names. With an Arturia KeyStep mk2 attached to the USB port on the front, its hit or miss if it will actually detect MIDI, and often requires a reboot. So frustrated with it.

I've to give 5 stars to this item, but I'll change to that when I receive support with the damaged power supply that came with this unit. Please note the packaging came in perfect condition and it was handled internationally using UPS, so the only posibillity is they included a faulty power unit from the factory.

Using with Nuendo 10, works flawless

Worked out of the box, a bit a tweeking later and fits perfectly in to my setup. Excellent way to connect midi synths to my DAW.

Als Nachfolger für mein Motu MidiExpress 128 frage ich mich warum ich nicht schon eher umgestiegen bin... Man braucht allerdings eine extra 1HE Blende um Kabel aus dem Rack elegant nach vorne zu führen.

Dieses Gerät überzeugt auf ganzer Länge!!! Mit der einfach zu bedienenden Software lässt sich jeder Kanal mit jedem anderen verbinden. Wirklich fantastisch! Gute Verarbeitung, zuverlässig. Ich vermisse eigent nur einen Einschalter

This product should be a 5 but I give 4 stars for the following reason: I have this unit sat in my studio rack. I am unable to close the door of the rack unit because half of the midi sockets are on the front!!!! To the manufacturers of this product, please help us hide the overwhelming number of cables in a music studio and place ALL of the sockets at the back out of sight. This will allow me to close the rack unit; Will prevent sockets from getting damaged when cables are caught by people walking by. Will prevent the cables from getting damaged. Also, please advise where the midi cables plugged in through the front should go??? Do I pass them over the unit or under the iConnectivity unit??? This wasn't thought through was it? PRODUCT IMPROVEMENTS: Please send in protective packaging - sending the photo finished box alone is not enough - it was damaged. Double up on the number of sockets and place them ALL on the back!
