This is an ok cast net, works good for small bait fish. It is on the lighter side of weight for a cast net, but was able to get all the bait I needed. UNDERSTAND one thing so you will not be disappointed when you order a 8 foot net it is actually only 8 foot when the net is in a full circle. So is a 4 FOOT net by US standards as to cast net size. I ordered an 8 foot, but kept it anyway for I like to have a small cast net of 3-4 foot to get fish in tight areas.

This net was amazing the first two throws. It opened well, sank a little slower than I would like, but it was good the first two. After that second throw, I noticed the bottom of the net(the rope material holding the sinkers) was separating from the mesh. The netting is very thin line and eventually completely ripped from said rope at the bottom. I addressed this by repairing and patching for about 2 hours using zip ties. The net continued to tear at other spots in the mesh area and I haven't been able to use it since. I went back to using my 10 year old walmart castnet.

This is my first easy throw cast net, and to be honest I am pretty sad throwing a standard cast net . I did about 5 practice throws in my yard its amazing at catching leaves and sticks so decided to go the Ohio river. Very pleased, caught 7 good size shad in 2 throws had all the bait I needed. My take away.Let the net do the work the harder you try the less the net works. Follow the direction on how to and get a smooth toss. After a few throws your ( My arm ) will still get a work out. Doubt I will go back to a standard cast net only time 2 hands are needed is one loop pre throw and on retrieve.

I thrown my net 4 times each throw caught over 50 minnows. Today I threw the net once caught over 100 minnows! I ordered the 4ft net it’s more like 6ft with no disk. Only thing I don’t like is most of minnows get caught like a gill net. But over all I’m very happy

This cast net is poor quality and poorly made. They first time I used it the sinker line started popping off the mesh. The mesh is not strong enough to hold. After tying the sinker line back on, the mono started breaking at the top. Hung it up to dry overnight only to find the sinkers and swivel had badly rusted. Not suitable for salt water. Not sure it is suitable for anywhere.

I got the 6ft net and though it is small, it does a great job at catching large fish and bait fish. For the price, you can't beat it.

I wanted to be able to catch bait when I go to the coast and have tried throwing a standard cast net with little success. I took this out of the box watched 1 youtube video and perfect every time. I purchased the 6 foot as I thought it would be easier to throw but next one will be an 8 or 10.

I can't get use to the second ring and the top ...And the metal weights are to heavy . When it hits the water it scares all.the.fish and.with the.small widgth. The fish get away.
