Excellent land navigation tool.
This compass is exactly what I was looking for in a Mils reference vs. degrees.

Mils NOT degrees
Don’t buy this compass unless you are specifically wanting one for military Mills measurements. It has degrees on the back of the compass that you can flip over and look at. However, the magnetic needle won won’t work with the inclinometer upside down. If you want degrees by the Ranger 2.0. If you want military use this is an excellent compass.

Nice
Love the compass for what I use it for. Can in broken on the edge and no pieces could be found inside the packaging but still used it on my last trip. Stores away nice on my chest carrier. The dials are easy to adjust but will maintain there position. Good value for the cost.

Great piece of genuine kit!
A genuine Milspec 6400mil compass. Just what I needed and a great upgrade from my older model that is due for 'retirement'. Great price and quick delivery (7 days from the US to NZL).

Good compass for the price
A military style compass, metal construction, and easy to use. It is a good piece of equipment to add to your bug out bag, or hiking backpack. Do not get lost, learn to read a topographical map, it might save your life, or the lives of others. If the GPS satellites are taken out, or the GPS device does not work properly, you have no excuse for not having a backup compass. Learn to use it, and you will be able to get to your destination, or get home safely.

Replacement just as bad
Can barely see north needles phosphorous mark even after 2 minutes under a flashlight. For the price you would expect better quality. update: Got the replacement I requested and the replacement is just as bad. Seems for the price they can't afford to put enough phosphorous material on the north indicator so that it can be easily seen. Contacted the company and have not gotten a response.

Great Compass
Great compass for someone who has some experience. Not for a beginner. Excellent quality.

Vender 5* Product: 1st hour out of the package the luminescent strip ‘fell off’ the black plastic sighting sleeve (cover), now making night navigation and bearing taking that little harder. A manufacturer fault and issue not the vendors. The cover hinge is also loos, requiring you to hold it at your required angle, when matching up the cross hairs. The crosshairs are a great feature allowing perfect centering on the mirror in order to take a bearing through the sighting window. The sighting window excels in size in comparison to the half moon crescent of the suunto, allowing better accuracy when sighting. Luminescence are stated to last for 4 hours after subjection to sun light or torch, but become illegible after a few minutes. Perhaps I have been sold an item that has sat on the shelf for many years? as the luminescence does deteriorate in time. The romer is the reason I chose the silva compass ( simple numbering backwards, allowing accurate 8 fig grid references to be taken), over the suunto (to much detail no numbers making it a longer more concentrated process), however The Suunto’s over all quality and workmanship outmatches and is definitely worth a look! Silva have relied on their compass being used by the forces hence sell lots due to blind ignorance of other brands and have let their quality slide. For the romer Silva, for quality Suunto.

This looks like a good solid piece of kit to include in my day pack. Markings and scales are decently laid out, and the baseplate is impressively thick, unlike other cheaper versions I own. The fact that the bezel scale is in mils instead of degrees might throw some people, but isn't a real issue. The only reason I knocked off one star is you're not really getting a Swedish compass. "Designed in Sweden" proudly displayed on the front of the package, "Made in China" discretely printed on the back. Hard to get away from these days, but still disappointing.
