My dog chewed through an electrical wire. I replaced the wire - that took over two hours. I put this on the new wire and still occasionally spray this product with some other product that is citrus based and supposed to deter chewing. So far, so good.

She's a little monster but these keep her safe.

Definitely protects the cords, but I didn't expect it to be so bulky.

This stuff is great if you have a pet that likes to chew on cords like my kitten does. After having multiple phone chargers, headphones, and EXPENSIVE apple laptop charges destroyed, I decided it was time to do something about the chewing problem. This stuff is seriously great. It is sturdy, very easy to put on, and it comes with enough to protect multiple cords. My cat isn't even interested in trying to chew through it anymore because it doesn't give him the satisfaction like the nice thin cords did that he already destroyed. He did try to chew through it when I first put it on, but it stayed true to it's purpose and it didn't even come close to puncturing the actual electrical cord. There are some bite marks in the chewsafe cover, but my cords are fine and have no harm to them. Buy this if you have a chewer like mine. I think it would work well for all pets and all types of cords. The only downside is that is is heavy and has made my laptop charger and phone charger a bit more heavy and bulky then I would like. However just for the fact that my cords will never again be able to be chewed is well worth it!

Did not deter my rabbit for more than about 12 hours until she got used to the scent. 1 bite and she was through the protector and down to the cords.

Maybe my expectations were too high. This is the first time I’ve wrapped a protective tubing around an electrical cord, but I thought once wrapped it would be a completely closed tube with the slit closing all the way down. But, it came in a roll and at the curves the tubing was open and formed a little pouch. After wrapping the cord I went back and made sure that the overlap was the same all along the length of the cord but if you zoom into the picture, you can see multiple areas where you can tell that the cord’s not fully covered. On the plus side, it was easy to put on and easy to cut, and it does cover a lot of the cord.

The cord was easy to use. Several cables could be bundled together, making the area under the desk neater. Now my cat does not start immediately chewing on our cables. He can be in the office with us.

Easy to wrap around an electric cord. Keeps your pet from bitting or scratching it. Using some tape helps a lot.
