Good quality butter dish.
It is made of Styrene acrylonitrile SAN construction to be more specific, not just weak plastic. That type of plastic is in the same general grade area as Plexiglas that is used in aircraft windows, so I expect more use out of it than if it were glassThe Guzzini butter dish not only looks very attractive, but it accommodates two sticks of butter, or the half pound size that fit perfectly into the dish. It is a three-piece butter dish that has not only a top and bottom, but has a white bottom insert that can be removed for easy cleaning.That white cleanable insert also acts as an extra seal for the clear top. I am not disappointed in this designer butter dish at all for $22+.

Very nice butter dish
I was looking for a plastic butter dish as we have broken our glass butter dishes on numerous occasions. This butter dish is a really nice looking alternative to glass. It is a little wider than the average butter dish, but it fits in my refrigerator compartment fine. It has a small white cutting board that the butter sits on that is shaped to fit within the bottom of the dish. This is nice as it is removable for washing. The clear cover stays on very well whenever I take the butter dish out of the refrigerator. I don't normally use a cover on my butter dishes and was unsure if it would fall off when moving it around but the butter dish seems to hold it on nicely. I'm really happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants something a little nicer than the average plastic butter dish.

cool butter dish
Holds 2 sticks of butter (or 1 european style stick), and looks cool. Plus, it's dishwasher safe and plastic, so easy to clean and hard to break.

Great wide butter dish
Great for those who buy wide butter (ie Kerry Gold Irish butter)! Seems very durable. Though I did manage to crap the lid already, but we 3 little kids so that is not really the fault of the dish. Looks great too

it's easily washable & completely unbreakable
This is absolutely GORGEOUS, it's easily washable & completely unbreakable. This is REALLY good design, it TOTALLY rocks the whole form-follows-function thing and the form is BEAUTIFUL. Genuinely lovely.

Great butter dish
Lovely, practical and exactly as pictured. It has a clear base and top with a white plastic tray inside where the butter sits.

guzzini butter dish
I am very happy with this item. It is well made and the color is great. I love that is has a removeable white dish that can be taken out to be cleaned. I have a few other Guzzini pieces in my kitchen and I love them all. The quality is great. I plan on getting more to complete my collection.
