Nice THICK flatware. Quality pieces. I am using them for everyday but would have no issue using them for a special meal. I was looking for a pretty heavy duty flatware set since mine set from 1988 was getting pretty banged up. I was at BBB and found the Gourmet Settings brand and fell in love with the quality and heavy duty utility of the brand. Good thing Amazon had some online!

I got a big set of these as a wedding gift 20 years ago. Over time of course a piece here and there gets lost, so I was happy to find that the pattern still existed. However, it looks like the pattern has changed some over the years. These are sturdy, but not nearly as weighty as my older pieces. Size and angle are just different enough to make nesting them weird. And the knife is completely different, and is not what is shown in the picture here on Amazon. They'll work, but I'm sad they 'fixed' something that wasn't broken.

I have had this set for about two years and I honestly still love them. They are heavy and solid, not flimsy at all. The design is nice as well. My only complaint is that they seem to tarnish a bit after a while. However, this may just be due to my water.

The flatware looks nice and appears to be of good quality, but I never took it out of the box because the pieces are enormous! The dinner knife is almost an inch and a half longer than the one from my current set and all of the pieces exceeded my expectations on size. The serving utensils were also extra big, which some folks may like. I wanted it to fit in the slots in my dishwasher silverware basket that protect against nesting and scratches, but no way.
