...and always wondered what the name of the movie was. Now I know. And it's mine! A must see for Deborah Shelton "fans." And horny children of the 80s who remember who fondly from TV - invariably clad in a bikini or unitard. Dangerous Cargo is far from being a great film -though it delivers the goods. Truth in advertising, indeed! A Sex and violence fun fest. The entire movie is filmed on a huge ship. The action (and sexual) sequences are professional and competently staged, acted and photographed for a B movie. The acting is pretty good, and there is a lot of action. Fact is, this film could be seen primarily as erotica (albiet of the 'roughie' variety) and the only woman in the film is a young and incredibly foxy Deborah Shelton who apparently lived in Greece at the time and it was there where she made her first screen appearances. A fairly (but not too low) low budget flick with some studly Greek action stars none of whom ever made it big outside of Greece, as far as I know. Deborah Shelton is the only real (soon to be) star here and she quite the standout (she was a sexy staple of sexy 80s teevee, she also starred as the spied upon brunette, who falls victim to the Driller Killer in Brian DePalma's Body Double) of this nautically themed sleaze-fest. Yup, don't worry Deborah Shelton is constantly nude in this film - including some really saucy sex scenes with sailors and pirates - after all, a fella can only go for so long without female companionship while at sea. A Wages of Fear/Sorcerer/ Emanuelle knock-off of the highest caliber. Glad to see on bluray! Looks and sounds amazing - largely in Greek with English subtitles. Not much, if any, as far as extras.

This movie is an interesting find on Blu-ray (I don't see it anywhere on DVD), mainly because this was made during a two-year period that Deborah Shelton--better known for her American television work, such as on Dallas--made a couple of films in Greece. I'm not sure what exactly was going on there, but somebody convinced her that in those parts doffing one's clothing was just part of the job. In Dangerous Cargo, she is the wife of a ship's captain who gets himself murdered by a leader of a pirate gang, who helps himself to the more-or-less seemingly willing widow. There are quite a few sex scenes involving Shelton, who is the only female in the movie, and she seemingly spends half the movie in mostly or all sans clothes. You might miss the ending of the film if you blink, since right up to it Shelton and the pirate are busy (again) in the sack and then it just ends with a some old footage of a ship sinking, which I suppose is supposed to be a "shock" ending. Yeah, if you thought that Shelton was "hot" in Dallas, you'll really like her in this movie. The video source isn't exactly in pristine condition, but it's good enough.

If your purchasing this for Deborah Shelton be warned there is much -much - less of her on view than advertised. the film itself is pretty boring, fairly lame story. I'm a fan of the Mondo Macabro releases and this is satisfactory as far as transfer and quality go. Sorry to say however if you're looking for Miss Shelton in her glory save your money. Image searches on the computer will be much more satisfying.
